Still had to complete certain requirements despite her previous Masters degree If I wanted to pursue an IR PhD is there any difference/comparative focuses that I should pay attention to? 1. Depends on where you want to go

2. DC area schools focus more on Foreign Service preparation Do a lot of political science PhD and Masters join the State Department? 1. Not really 2. The more practical route for FSO would be international relations 3. DC Schools focus on preparing people for entrance into the Foreign Service Whats your end goal? 1. Teach at a liberal arts college 2. Went into the military b/c of interest in leadership and investment of those who work around them Hows it working with Congressmen Barber? 1. Hes really nice 2.
