The WEM System Status document provides the user with an overview of the WEM GUI system status management functionality. The document includes the following information: WSS Card status WSS application status Link status Users status

This guide is for operators in charge of managing and monitoring an AlcatelLucent 5060 Wireless Call Server (WCS).

1 System Status

1.1

Overview
The System Status functionality provides the user with information pertaining to the WMG, WSS, and associated cards, facilities and links. The System Status main screen can be accessed in several different ways: 1. From the main toolbar, select Go and then click System Status. (Figure 1-1). 2. From the shortcut bar, click System Status. (Figure 1-2)

System Status Function


After selecting the System Status function, the system defaults to the WMG Node Status tab. (Figure 1-3) The WMG node data is displayed in the workspace. In addition to the information available on the system banner, the System Status functionality also includes operational and administrative states for each node. The WEM GUI provides the following status tabs for active components on the system: WMG Node Status WMG Card Status WSS Card Status SS7 Link Status Users Status

WMG Node Status


The WMG Node Status tab displays the status information for each media gateway node provisioned in the system. Figure 1-3 shows the WMG Node Status tab.

The WSS Card Status tab displays the system information for the system's WSS node. The tab provides the following information: System WSS CPU average and peak usage Operational and administrative states for each WSS in the system % CPU Occupancy Figure 1-5 shows the WSS Card Status tab.

SS7 Link Status


The SS7 Link Status tab displays information for the intra-system links, including link IDs and the status of each link. Figure 1-6 shows the SS7 Link Status tab.
