Shaft Seals
Philadelphia Mixing Solutions portables are available with a wide selection of shaft seals ranging from a simple shroud to special high temperature and pressure mechanical seals. Most can be shipped directly from stock.

Impeller Styles
Philadelphia Mixing Solutions, Ltd. combines our 50+ years of mixing expertise with advanced software and technology to develop impellers for efficient, effective results. Every design undergoes rigorous testing to ensure optimal performance.

Low Solidity Hydrofoil

Low Solidity Hydrofoil is the most flow efficient impeller for low viscosity. Maximizes flow with ability to add shear if required.
Use with cup mount in 55 gallon drum with standard 2 NPT bung opening. Folding propeller also needed for this configuration. Support mixer from wall or column where design of tank does not provide integral mixer support.

CounterflowTM Impeller

Lip Seal: Low pressure seal to vent atmospheric contaminents from the process

CounterflowTM Impeller provides lower power and high torque mixing - saving energy. Dual pumping action establishes a flow pattern similar to low viscosity fluid.

Stabilizer Rings

Available on any lower propeller for smooth operation of long shafts or for drain down situations.

Angle Riser
Stuffing Box Seals: For sealing pressure of 25 to 150 psig with carbon filled Teflon packing. Low pressure & high pressure options available.

Standard open tank angle riser for fixed mount drives when tank has no baffles.

Steady Bearings

Steep Pitch Propeller

Can be supplied for tank bottom mounting when very long shafts are needed.

Steep Pitch Propeller (1.5 to 1) is standard for a wide range of applications. Provides excellent flow and blending.

Folding Propeller

Folding Propeller passes easily through bung hole of 55 gallon drum and opens automatically under power. Sizes from 3 to 5.

Pitched Blade Turbine

Clamp Mount
Single & Double Dry Mechanical Seals Positive shaft seal To prevent leaking to atmosphere using gas or liquid buffer to pressure the seal chamber, based on specific process requirements.
High strength, rugged clamp provides secure mounting to tank rim or support. Hand wheels allow easy adjustment, precise positioning. May be fixed to tank rim or on separate stand.

Cup Base Mount

Standard open tank baseplate for fixed mount drives.

Pitch Blade Turbine is an ideal choice when both flow velocity and fluid shear are required. Its smaller diameter is well suited for high intensity liquid blending. And more. We have an impeller thats right for your application needs.
