On-campus Migration
One instructor has reached out to us already for assistance with incorporating online resources from a textbook publisher into her course. Textbook publishers including Pearson, Cengage and McGraw-Hill offer a wide variety of resources to supplement courses such as lecture materials, question banks and videos. However it can be a bit overwhelming with the first visit to their websites to decide what to use and how to incorporate it into Canvas. Any on-campus instructors may contact Joanna Cummings by email at jcummings@champlain.edu or elearning@champlain.edu to set up a time to come in and work on courses.
Instructors who will teach the 33 on-campus courses we migrated were contacted this week, in order to invite them to the Migration Lab for assistance in setting up their courses. We cant stress enough about taking advantage of the calm before the August storm to spend an hour or two at the lab.
