As you sit back and atch the family members interact , you notice certain things! ho they talk, hat they talk about, ho they laugh, the privately e"changed looks, and maybe the not so privately e"changed glares. #ou notice ho they treat each other and of course ho they treat you. $hat you are observing is the personality, the character of that family. %he character traits you observe have been established over a long time, by the ancestors of that family, becoming a ay for that family. %hese traits stem from the heart of those ancestors. $hen e profess our faith in &esus 'hrist e become members of a family . Like all families that family has character traits and personality, like all families those traits potrayed should be based on the heart of its ancestor, based on the heart of (od. $hen e read verses like proverbs )) vs )), e onder, ho robs from the poor? hose conscience s ings so lo they stoop to such measures? *n a orld rapidly moving to ards relativism and denying absolutes e still find that the thought of robbing the poor is unacceptable to most if not all people. $e applaud those February 23

Leviticu !"vs ",!# is greatly revealing of our fathers heart. $ot only were the poor provided for %ut they also retained their dignity, they did not have to %eg. &In homes supplied with life s comforts, in %ins and granaries filled with the yield of a%undant harvests, in warehouses stoc'ed with the products of the loom , and vaults stored with gold and silver .
