T0: The bridge south of Bad Neustadt will blow as soon as the scenario kicks of f.

Everyone else has been given assault orders, so that they will take dug in p ositions in the bridge hex, or the critically important tree line. This is vita l. In the event an enemy unit appears before the blow bridge order can be given , we don't want the recon units backing off. We can't afford to waste 20-30 min utes getting them back into position to try and blow the bridge again. T1: The choice is now which brdige? The bridge on the E. of Bad Neustadt is in dicated as we have no indication the WP is headed to the bridge in Heustrue (min ess going off or the like). The platoon of 4 Bradleys dug-in at the tree line w ill hopefully buy us enough time to start marshalling some real defenses. Now t here is the option of instead moving a tank platoon, rather then blowing the bri dge. My arguement against this is that you can always move a tank platoon later , but you can only blow the bridge easily now. T2: The bridge to the E. of Bad Neustadt will blow in about 2 minutes. The WP isn't going to cross through there anytime soon. You can't see the kill markers with the WP recon units in hex 1716, but the Bradleys have killed 14 units (6 r econ, 3 tank, 3 SP AT) in the last turn. Now that there are a few more orders t o issues, take advantage and get your defenses setup. The bridge in Heustrue is ordered to be blown, and two platoons of M1A1's are ordered into the tree line. One to reenforce the Bradley platoons position, the other to setup a fire sac on the bridge (hopefully soon the only remaining one). T3: The bridge in Heustrue was blown with a minute to spare, but the recon unit was destroyed. This is exactly why they have to be in hold stance, if they had fallen back there is no way we could have gotten them back into position to try and blow the bridge again when faced with WP tank companies. Rather then deali ng with one crossing point, we'd be trying to juggle two. We have the beginning s of a good defense in the tree line. Addtional tanks will be ordered up, and s moke will be dropped on the brdige crossing hex to make it harder for the WP to engage the tanks in the trees. As there are at least 2 tank companies near Heus true a platoon or two of tansk is being sent that way incase they attempt a cros sing. Otherwise the focus is on the one bridge left standing. T4: The WP attempts to force the bridge and create a bridge head. 69 WP units are destroyed/rendered combat ineffective in the attempt for the cost of 4 M1A1' s. The WP got luckly with their artillery and dropped it directly into a HQ gro up causing a few loses. The basic plan continues, push tanks into the tree line , and use the mech infantry to fortify Bad Neustadt to prevent a crossing. A si ngle M1A1 platoon is in Heustrue to keep an eye out for a flanking attack. By t his point the tanks on the tree line are low or out of ammo (I don't play with e mergency resupply), so the sooner we can get fresh tanks in the better. As a pr entative measure one of the recon sections is moved to the western most bridge t o blow it, just in case. T5: Another 30 WP units are destroyed as they attempt to create a bridge head. Several of the tank platoons have to fall back do to running out of ammo. This is why it's imperative to have reenforcements headed to the ridge line ASAP. A t this point the WP is badly bleed, with only moderate NATO casulties.
