Lesson Proper: Teachers Activity Let us all stand up for the opening prayer. You may now take your sit. Checking of attendance Please raise your your hand as I call your name. Please pick up the pieces of paper under your chair. So, how was your weekend, class? Thats good to know. For this morning, our topic will be the Use of Stress and and Intonation. . Is there anyone from the class knows about our topic this morning? Ok, before we proceed to our discussion, please stand up and lets have the energizer. Sarah, please come in front and lead the energizer. Ok class, you may now take your sit. Correct intonation and stress are the key to speaking English fluently with good pronunciation. Intonation and stress refers to the music of the English language. Words that are stressed are key to understanding and using the correct intonation brings out the meaning. I hope that you learned today from our topic.

Teachers Activity D. Generalization: During conversations, you should always observe the proper intonation, that is, giving the right stress to the words spoken. Stress is the relative force of utterance given in a syllable or word. It is very important that we know how and when to use stress and intonation in speaking because it is the key for understanding and brings out the meaning. Good question. Instead of having a quiz, I will give you group activity which is graded. IV. Evaluation: I will divide the class into two groups and ask each group to give a high note to any non-formal word (s) that they wish to emphasize.
