SPOOLABLE REINFORCED COMPOSITE (SRC) PIPE Future Pipe Industries introduces our newest product line: high pressure Spoolable Reinforced Composite (SRC) pipe** ranging in sizes from 1" to 4" inside diameter (25 to 100 mm) in lengths of up to 20,000 ft (6 km). SRC line pipe is manufactured in Houston, Texas, and is available in operating pressures up to 2,250 psig (150 bars) and operating temperatures up to 210 oF (99 oC) depending on the liner used. SRC utilizes a two-element design approach: a thermoplastic liner serves as the fluid containment element and the overwrapped composite laminate (E-glass fibers and/or carbon fibers in an enhanced amine cured epoxy) provides the structural stiffness and strength element. An optional outermost layer can be provided as a sacrificial damage tolerance layer. Three standard product lines are available: Cobra with a HDPE liner, Python with a PEX liner and Boa with a PA-11 liner. APPLICATIONS SRC pipe has many uses in oilfield applications such as: Produced fluids Brine Water injection Natural gas CO2 (supercritical) Multiphase fluids Environmentally sensitive areas Crossings Relining steel pipelines ADVANTAGES OF SRC PIPE Fast installations Economic No corrosion Lightweight Longer lengths and fewer connections Excellent flow characteristics (C=150) Resistant to scaling Electrically inert The greatest advantage of SRC pipe compared with conventional jointed pipe is the speed of installation. Normally, the amount of GRE or steel line pipe that can be installed in 8 -10 hours with one crew can be installed in only one hour with our SRC. Installation rates of 1 - 2 mph (1.5 - 3 km/hr) are common.

END CONNECTIONS SRC pipe utilizes an ANSI B16.5 Lap Joint Flange to connect the spools or for connecting with metal piping. The joint is reliable and is available in all working pressure classes supplied.
