The USB driver association is necessary, after this installation, in order to use the INLINE 5 adapter. Administrative rights are needed for the USB driver association.
Symptoms and Observations The Found New Hardware Wizard window is displayed when connecting the INLINE 5 adapter to a USB port after installa- tion or upgrade of the driver.
Repair Instructions Log in to the administrative account and follow the instructions on the Hardware Installation Wizard window to configure the USB port. The INLINE 5 adapter can then be used from any account. INSITE v7.4 INLINE 4/5 Adapter Installation Information INSITE v7.4 Upgrade Issues and Recommended Solutions Unable to uninstall previous version For those users who experience an Unable to uninstall previous version error during the process of upgrading to INSITE v7.4, it will be necessary to first run the Windows Installer Clean Up utility to remove INSITE and then run the registry fix file provided below. This utility can be found on the INSITE v7.4 DVD. Instructions for running this utility are as follows: To install: 1) Insert the INSITE v7.4 DVD. 2) Click on Explore the DVD-ROM. 3) Navigate to the \Supplement\Misc\ folder and double-click on msicuu2.exe and then follow the install instructions. To use: 1) Click on Start>All Programs and choose Windows Install Clean Up. 2) Highlight the INSITE entries and click Remove to remove ALL INSITE entries from this list. Close this utility when there are no INSITE entries remaining in the list. 3) Proceed to the instructions below and run the registry fix file provided under the INSITE has encountered an error and needs to close section of this topic.

New Features Automatic Updates A new capability was added which allows critical updates to be automatically downloaded and installed on the PC. Message Box The message box provides a new capability to notify the user of INSITE information, including but not limited to INLINE 4/5 updates, INSITE software releases, and other pertinent INSITE information.

July 2010 CumminsINSITE v7.4.1 Release Information We are pleased to announce that INSITE v7.4.1 (7.4.1.160) will be available for download through the Cummins INSITE Update Manager in J uly 2010. This feature pack supports all new and existing Cummins engine platforms. The INSITE v7.4.1 download will be a free download using the INSITE Update Manager. However, the DVDs will be available for purchase from your local distributor. Please contact your local distributor for pricing information.
Note: INSITE v7.4 (7.4.0.244) must be installed before installing INSITE v7.4.1. If INSITE v7.4 has not been installed, please contact your local distributor to obtain a DVD-ROM or go to the INSITE Website at https://insite.cummins.com/insite/downloads/index.html to download the installation file.
New Features Supported Remote Start This feature is used during engine maintenance to start or crank the engine when the cab is tilted and the KEY switch is ON. While the engine running, the following can also be performed by pressing the R0 - and R1 + push switches in the correct order: Ramp-up to increase the engine speed Ramp-down to decrease the engine speed Shutdown the engine This applies to ISM11 CM876 SN The following issues that were seen in the previous version of INSITE have been fixed in v7.4.1: Issue with Exporting All Images functionality An issue was found with the Export All Images functionality in INSITE v7.4 (7.4.0.244). When the files are being exported, they are all exported with the same Work Order name, but different image names. This issue is observed after the images are imported. Detonation Sensor Offset Calibration Test Issue This test does not run properly on PCs that have Windows regional settings that use commas (e.g., 2,40) instead of decimals (e.g., 2.40) in number formatting. Incorrect Idle Validation Status An issue was discovered with the Idle Validation Status displayed in Data Monitor/Logger for ISM CM570. If the Idle Validation Status is "Off Idle", INSITE displays "On Idle", and if the status is "On Idle", INSITE displays "Off Idle".
