Interviews: Raab, Esther. "1992." Interview. United States Holocaust Memorial Museum. N.p., n.d. Web. 17 Feb. 2014. <http://www.ushmm.org/wlc/en/media_oi.php?ModuleId=10005213&MediaId=1126>. This was not a personal interview. I found this video on the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum website. It was of a survivor named Esther Raab. I used this quote to represent an opinion of the underground resistance from the Jewish Germans. This was her interpretation of what was going on, and it shows how horrible the gas chambers were if she preferred getting killed than going to the gas chambers.

Pamphlets: Drexler, Anton. National Socialist German Workers Party: A Political Awakening. Munich: n.p., 1920. Print. I did not have access to the entire translated pamphlet since excerpts of this was reprinted in another book. This pamphlet was written by Hitlers colleague in the group, Anton Drexler. He aimed towards his other colleagues, saying that he is one of them too and they all want the same things. He states that he is concerned that all of them are not progressing to reach their goals if they are in service of foreign power. He, too, agrees that Jews are deceiving and are everyone should realize the false friendship from the Jewish. He concludes that everyone must realize this in order to achieve worker freedom. Letters: Hitler, Adolf. "Germlich Letter." Letter to Herr Gemlich. 16 Sept. 1919. MS. N.p. This letter, written in 1919 from Adolf Hitler, was sent to Herr Gemlich explaining the German governments flaws. He expressed his thoughts about Jewish conspiracy in this letter as well as in the Mein Kampf. Hitler described how German Jews would not be considered German, since they do not adopt the German traditions. He believes that it is truly selfish and inconsiderate of them to live in Germany as Hitlers interpretation of an Alien race. He does not believe a non-German should live in Germany. He also writes about his thoughts of Jewish peoples deceit. Hitler believes that Jews look innocent but would do anything to get more wealth and money. Pictures: A couple consisting of a Jew and a German, being persecuted. Digital image. N.p., n.d. Web. <http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_o7MZRBJ1zfQ/SmEOjK01YuI/AAAAAAAACm8/xgK5ac ys A/s1600-h/judeu.jpg>. This picture shows a couple, being persecuted by Nazis due to it being illegal (at the time) for a German and a Jew to date. The Nuremberg Laws, made this illegal, along with many other things Jews were originally able to do. The Nuremberg Laws took away German citizenship from all Jews, restricted a Jew from having intimate relationships a German, along with many other things. This picture is used on our website on the Nuremberg Laws page. A Racial Chart Taken from a Nazi Propaganda Booklet: What Kind of Marriage Is Restricted by the Law? What Kind of Marriage Is Allowed? Digital image.Holocaust Encyclopedia. Yad

Vashem, n.d. Web. 20 Feb. 2014. <http://www.yadvashem.org/IMAGE_TYPE/3578.jpg>. This is a photograph of the Nazi Propaganda Booklet. This shows what the Nazis told others of what marriage is legal, and what kind of marriage is illegal. This is an important part of the Nuremberg Laws, symbolizing the reduction of the rights from marriage. A Racial Chart Taken From a Nazi Propaganda Booklet: 'Who Has German Blood? Who Belongs to the Jewish Race? Who Is of Mixed Race?' N.d. Photograph. United States Holocaust Memorial Museum. The Holocaust. Yad Vashem. Web. 25 Jan. 2014. This photograph is of the Nazi Propaganda Booklet. It supposedly informs Germans of who is of Jewish race. This was part of the Nuremberg Laws, so I used this in our website to show our readers that the Nazi government handed out pamphlets, making this law very significant. Adolf Hitler, Mein Kampf. N.d. Photograph. Mein Kampf. N.p.: n.p., 1925. N. pag. Print. This picture is the cover of Hitlers autobiography, Mein Kampf. Although this picture is not the original, it shows a picture of Hitler with much respect. It shows how the Germans all treated this book with respect. With this picture, we are showing the example of what the cover of Mein Kampf looks like with descriptions to the sides on our website. Adolf Hitler. N.d. Photograph. N.p. <http://www.iiipublishing.com/politics/fascism/images/adolf_hitler.jpg> This photograph shows Adolf Hitler saluting at his soldiers as everyone in the picture shows respect towards their leader. Adolf Hitler. N.d. Photograph. Http://www.webzeest.com/article/2292/adolf-hitler. Webzeest, 16 Dec. 2013. Web. 24 Jan. 2014. <http://www.webzeest.com/article/2292/adolf-hitler>. We used this picture to show our readers the image of Hitler while we include a blockquote. It is a painting of Hitler, showing how people respected him enough to paint a portrait of him. This photograph was taken in 1933, showing many Americans protesting the Nazis. The US citizens are located in New York, as they show support as anti-Nazis. I learned that other

countries around the world were aware of the Holocaust and decided to publicly protest against the Nazis. Beer Hall Putsch (Munich Putsch). N.d. Photograph. Holocaust Encyclopedia. Web. 21 Dec. 2013. <http://www.ushmm.org/lcmedia/photo/lc/image/06/06830.jpg>. This photo was taken in 1923, two years before Hitler published the first volume of Mein Kampf. The History Place. 2013. Web. 7 Jan. 2014. <http://www.historyplace.com/worldwar2/ww2-pix/boycott1a.jpg>. This photo also shows many Germans protesting the production of Jewish goods. I learned how so many were with Hitler. This picture proves that anti-Semitism was not only included within the Nazis. I used this picture for my Taking Away Rights page in our website. Boycott All of German Goods. N.d. Photograph. Fourwinds. Fourwinds10.net. Web. 20 Jan. 2014. <http://www.fourwinds10.net/resources/uploads/images/Judea-declares-war-ongermany-Boycott-all-german-goods.jpg>. In this photograph, people are arranging candles to form a larger candle shape. This is to commemorate the people killed after an Allied bombing on Dresden. As one can see, sacrifices must be made to help a greater whole. Germany, A Sign That Reads: 'Jews, Leave to Your Own Country! We Have Learned Who You Are in Ours!" Digital image. Yad Vashem The Holocaust Encyclopedia. N.p., n.d. Web.

20 Feb. 2014. <http://www.yadvashem.org/IMAGE_TYPE/2510.jpg>. This is a sign that shows discrimination against Jews. It shows how the Jewish were treated during the Holocaust. This symbolizes the Nuremberg Laws, extending the limited areas that the Jews were allowed to be into. Heil Hitler. N.d. Photograph. N.p. <http://southpawbeagle.files.wordpress.com/2010/05/heil_hitler.jpg> This picture is a primary source since it was taken as a photograph. It shows Hitler saluting to his soldiers. The title, Heil Hitler is the common type of salute as a sign of respect towards Hitler. How Did Great Britain Respond? 1936. Photograph. United States Holocaust Memorial Museum. The Holocaust Explained. 2011. Web. 22 Jan. 2014. This picture is of Hitler greeting Neville Chamberlain. It shows of how the British were friendly with Hitler, unlike the Americans. I learned that Britain actually didnt protest much against Nazi Germany, as some actually supported the Holocaust. Hitler Speech Rally 1937. 1937. Photograph. Today in History. JReviews. The webpage provides a quote, which is what Hitler was saying in this picture. He talks about equality, and about how people are equal no matter the amount of wealth they possess. The website title says that Hitler states that only the German race shall be equal. Jewish children in a Concentration Camp. Digital image. MartinFrost, n.d. Web. <http://www.martinfrost.ws/htmlfiles/camp_children1.jpg>. This picture shows several Jewish children locked up in a German concentration camp. Jewish women, men, children, the elderly, anyone who contained Jewish blood was sent to a concentration camp. Often, children were immediately put in the gas chamber. The picture does not indicate whether they were lucky or whether they were waiting in line for the gas chamber. Of course it could be neither, but no one will truly ever know. This picture, I can envision, makes people feel sympathy or empathy, as I felt. This picture is used on our website, on the What Did We Learn page.

Jews Wearing Yellow Star. Digital image. N.p., n.d. Web. 20 Feb. 2014. <https://sites.google.com/site/pesickaenglish8students/resume/ghettos>. This image shows a Jewish school filled with young little girls and boys. They all wear a star on their clothing, which symbolizes the Star of David and identifies their Jewish blood. They are all over the age of three, forcing the requirement to make this star visible to other Germans. Kristallnacht. N.d. Photograph. United States Memorial Museum. New York boycotted German goods from 1937-1939. This means some people did actually care and helped in some way. This picture is on our website. N.d. Photograph. United States Holocaust Memorial Museum, Warsaw Ghetto. United States Holocaust Memorial Museum. United States Holocaust Memorial Museum, Washington, DC. Web. 19 Feb. 2014. <http://www.ushmm.org/lcmedia/photo/lc/image/46/46193.jpg>. This picture shows a group of resistance fighters who have been captured by SS troupes during a Warsaw uprising. There are not only men in this photo but women too. They are surrounded by many more soldiers than their number which leads to the idea, that they are pretty strong. There were people who stood up and tried to fight back, but because of the severe lack in number, they really couldn't make that much of a difference and often were killed very soon.

Nuremberg Laws. N.d. Photograph. WW2 Headquarters. Www.WorldWar2Headquarters.com, 2013. Web. 8 Jan. 2014. <http://worldwar2headquarters.com/images/posters/German/nuremberg-laws.jpg>. This photograph is of the Nuremberg Laws. It shows each law prohibiting more and more rights of the Jewish. It is in German, so I cannot read it, but it is the genuine and original sheet. I used this picture in our website in the Taking Away Rights page. Nuremberg Laws... Swastika Becomes Official Symbol... 1935. Photograph. Rare & Early Newspapers. Timothy Hughes Rare & Early Newspapers. Timothy Hughes Rare & Early Newspapers, 2014. Web. 21 Jan. 2014. <http://www.rarenewspapers.com/view/591007>. This photograph is of an early New York Times newspaper in the 1935 year. It shows anti-Semitism and provided a good statement for our website. I used this in the home page as a symbolic link to our Nuremberg Laws page. Ragnar009. An Avrol Lancaster over Hambug. Photograph. Photobucket. Photobucket, 2014. Web. 14 Jan. 2014. <http://s1089.photobucket.com/user/Ragnar009/media/AnAvroLancasteroverHamburg_z ps10a4298b.jpg.html>

This Photograph shows airplanes flying as bombs are going off around it. The Allies had a dangerous, but necessary task in helping defeat the Germans. This is also used on our website. Ragnar009. "A raid by the 8th Air Force on the Focke Wulf factory at Marienburg Germany 1943."Photograph. Photobucket.Photobucket, 2014. Web.14 Jan. 2014. <http://s1089.photobucket.com/user/Ragnar009/media/Araidbythe8thAirForceontheFock eWulffactoryatMarienburgGermany1943_zps059a5bba.jpeg.html> This photograph is of an airplane flying away, after an air raid by the 8th Air force. Although the bomb wasnt necessarily big, it does still cause a lot of damage. Sondergericht. Digital image. Wikipedia, n.d. Web. <http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/thumb/a/ac/Bundesarchiv_Bild_15139-23,_Volksgerichtshof,_Reinecke,_Freisler,_Lautz.jpg/250px-Bundesarchiv_Bild_15139-23,_Volksgerichtshof,_Reinecke,_Freisler,_Lautz.jpg>. This picture displays a German Special Court, specifically, Sondergericht. In these courts Nazis were given especially tiny punishments, if any at all. If a German was brought to the court and was opposed to the Nazi Regime, they could have been executed. In fact, about twelve - thousand Germans were unfairly killed for this reason. In other matters, this picture was used for our website, specifically the, Special Courts page. This picture, just from the look of the photo, seems extremely for the Nazi Regime. Nazi Germany: The Reichstag Fire. N.d. Photograph. History on the Net. Web. 27 Jan. 2014. This is a picture of the Reichstag fire. We used this in our website to show the pictures of the event. It appealed to me since it was in color while the rest of the pictures were in black and white. "The Nuremberg Race Laws." United States Holocaust Memorial Museum. United States Holocaust Memorial Council, n.d. Web. 26 Jan. 2014.

<http://www.ushmm.org/learn/timeline-of-events/1933-1938/nuremberg-race-laws>. This website provided a good quote for our thesis statement. The quote was "The Nuremberg Laws define a "Jew" as someone with three or four Jewish grandparents. Consequently, the Nazis classify as Jews thousands of people who had converted from Judaism to another religion, among them even Roman Catholic priests and nuns and Protestant ministers whose grandparents were Jewish." It helps the reader understand who the people classified as a Jew. The room where "The Bomb Plot" took place, after the bomb had gone off. Digital image. Wikipedia, n.d. Web. <http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/a/ae/Bundesarchiv_Bild_146-1972025-12,_Zerst%C3%B6rte_Lagerbaracke_nach_dem_20._Juli_1944.jpg>. This picture shows the room where the attempted assassination, of Hitler took place. It is also known as The Bomb Plot, since the plan was to execute Hitler using a bomb. The assassination was put into place by High German Officials, because they believed that Hitler was leading their country into possible destruction. The only way to stop this was to get rid of him, they thought. Yet, the plan did not succeed, to Hitlers advantage. Although Hitler did not die, four others in the room did. This picture gives a great idea of how not only Jews, but many others believed Hitler was going too far with his plans. This picture is used in our website on the Attempted Assassination page. Unarmed Jewish Resistance. Digital image. The White Rose Movement. United States Holocaust Memorial Museum, n.d. Web. 18 Feb. 2014. This picture was of people going underground as a form of resistance. This is one example of unarmed resistance, which was one of the most effective. This form of resistance was the most commonly used, since physically fighting did not make much progress. I got a quote from the caption of this picture. Vashem, Yad. A Sign on a Store Owned by German Jews: Protect Yourselves, Dont Buy from Jews. Digital image. Yad Vashem. Yad Vashem The Holocaust Martyrs' and Heroes' Remembrance Authority, n.d. Web. 1 Dec. 2013. <http://www.yadvashem.org/yv/ru/holocaust/about/chapter_1/images/persecution/01.jpg > This picture shows a German store protesting and boycotting against German Jews. Nazis forbade people to buy from Jewish stores.

Wide World Photo. "Photograph." United States Holocaust Memorial Museum. United States Holocaust Memorial Council, n.d. Web. 25 Jan. 2014. <http://www.ushmm.org/wlc/en/media_ph.php?MediaId=476>. Jewish lawyer are lined up to appeal for permission to go before the Berlin courts. This happens on April 11, 1933. Officials stand guard and the mood is just dreary and sad. Young Jewish boys wearing the Star of David. Digital image. N.p., n.d. Web. <http://www.bl.uk/learning/images/voices/children%20in%20yellow%20stars.jpg>. This picture includes two young Jewish boys of whom are wearing the Star of David, to symbolize that they are Jewish. At the start of World War II, all Jews were forced to do this so it would be easier to identify who was Jewish, and who was not at the concentration camps. The youngest of kids, to the eldest of adults had to wear the star. Videos: Anti-Nazi Parade in New York City. United States Holocaust Memorial Museum. USHMM, n.d. Web. 25 Jan. 2014. This source is the original film of an Anti-Nazi Parade. It shows a lot of support for the Jewish coming from America. Though protest coming from the United States was delayed, this parade held in New York City in 1939 showed a lot of protest. Hundreds of American citizens participate in this ceremony. Hitler Bomb Plot 1944. War Archives, 1944. YouTube. 18 Feb. 2013. Web. 25 Jan. 2014. This is also an original film of people who support Hitler. It acts as if Hitler is even more superior since he had survived the bomb plot. It shows all the damage done by the bomb, and how Hitler had nearly been assassinated. Hitler's First Speech as Chancellor at Berlin Sportspalast on Feb. 10, 1933. Julius Streicher, Youtube, 2013. This film is a primary source, for it shows the original video of Hitlers first speech as chancellor. I used this film and edited it to cut out parts that made it too long. I used this in our website to show his first speech.

This photograph provided a good quote for our website. It shows Hitler saluting while the quote is also present, saying that Hitler is doing good by killing off Jewish. It lets us learn about how many were persuaded by Hitler as he stated how all his actions are necessary. I think this was a good picture for our page Support since it gives the German people somebody to worship.

Interviews: Cushman, Sarah M. E-mail interview. 9 Dec. 2013. This interview explained how the Mein Kampf did not lead to the rise of the Nazis, but more likely economic problems. Although it is not known just how popular it was, the book was often given as a gift on special occasions. It did however, include the Nazis ideology. Polonsky, Anthony. E-mail interview. 9 Dec. 2013. This interview confirmed the idea that Mein Kampf did not lead to the rise of the Nazis. Also, it gave the chancellor election statistics.

Books: Feuchtwanger, E. J. 1999. From Weimar to Hitler: Germany, 1918-33. New York: St. Martin's, 1993. N. pag. Print. This source was found reprinted in a different book. Even though it only includes a small passage from the book, it gives information of the Treaty of Versailles in 1919. E.J. Feuchtwanger tells that the Germans were very angry and upset towards the Treaty of Versailles. The one passage explains what allies of World War I forced among the Germans, such as payment and their borderlines. It also provided a decent quote that Ive used in our website. Fischer, Klaus P. Nazi Germany: A New History. New York: Continuum, 1995. Print.

Herzstein, Robert Edwin. The Nazis. Alexandria, VA: Time-Life, 1980. Print.

This book was very long and full of detail. Herzstein wrote much about the Nazis in general, so it did not relate entirely on the topic of my project. This book still provided a lot of information for me, about as much as a typical website would. Herzstein wrote this book in a very formal way, citing many quotations from Hitlers very own book, the Mein Kampf. The Nazis did not focus on one section at a time, as many people were involved. This is particularly important for our project since it introduces many different subjects, events, and people. These topics included Hermann Goring, the Beer Hall Putsch, and Hjalmar Horace Greely. I did not obtain information about these topics though it allowed me to understand more things involved with our subject. Hills, Ken, and John Berry. World War II. New York: M. Cavendish, 1988. Print. This book was a secondary source. It was not particularly helpful in our field of research but gave a few dates and meanings. It tells when Hitler and the Nazi Party came into power when they officially started harassing the jews through persecution. It also explain what blitzkrieg is and who invented it. Hitler, Adolf, and Ralph Manheim. Mein Kampf,. Boston: Houghton Mifflin, 1943. Print. This book was written directly by Hitler himself, though it was translated into English. This really helps us understand his intentions as well as how he saw both Jews and the Aryan race. It lets us know what the Germans had read back in 1925 and how this persuaded the people to believe that Hitler is sane. An autobiography really shows the reader Hitlers o wn view of the history. The book mostly showed his hatred towards Jews as well as how he thought about the events, but the Mein Kampf provided multiple quotes as well.

Kubizek, August. The Young Hitler I Knew. Trans. Geoffrey Brooks. London: Greenhill, 2006. Print. This book was another biography about Hitler. One quote that stood out was What I liked I learnt. There is also a quote from Mein Kampf that tells of how even Adolf Hitler could not tell if a fellow was a Jew or not: They did not look like this in Linz. The author goes on to explain how Hitler expressed his enthusiasm by talking about the Jewish problem constantly, even though the author, himself, had no interest in the particular subject. Lukacs, John. The Legacy of the Second World War. New Haven: Yale UP, 2010. Print. This book tells a little about the influence of the book Mein Kampf. It describe the persuasiveness and explains that people thought the book Mein Kampf so influential that it was banned. Along with that, it also contains Adolf Hitlers political ideas. McClafferty, Carla Killough. In Defiance of Hitler: The Secret Mission of Varian Fry. New

York: Farrar Straus Giroux, 2008. Print. In Defiance of Hitler: The Secret Mission of Varian Fry is a book about a young man who went inside Germany to save millions. His work is incredible but most of the information in this book is quite off topic. Information that does help us a bit is the naming of two concentration camps, a few dates, and the explanation of how the Nazi symbol came to be. The book also tells what S.S. stands for. Mitchell, Otis C. 1999. Hitler over Germany: The Establishment of the Nazi Dictatorship (1918-1934). Philadelphia: Institute for the Study of Human Issues, 1983. N. pag. Print. Otis C. Mitchell, the author of the book, described Hitler's first serious attempt at power that occurred in 1923, the Beer Hall Putsch. He explains through the short passage of Hitler's idea of the Weimar democracy. Hitler had believed that the three powerful men in Bavaria could help him stage a putsch to change the Berlin government and ended up interrupting the Munich beer hall meeting It also provided a decent quote that Ive used in our website.

Nardo, Don. The Rise of Nazi Germany. San Diego, CA: Greenhaven, 1999. Print. This source has incredible information since there were many authors who contributed greatly in writing this book. Also, the book included many excerpts from various sources that also contained a lot of information. It gave a lot of information on the Rise of the Nazis. It stated much of how Nazis turned Germany into a police state, controlling all of Germany. It told a little bit of Hitlers beliefs and ideas, too. This book really allowed me to understand the power of the Mein Kampf affecting his own public affection and popularity. As expected, Hitler persecuted the Jews and was appointed Chancellor of Germany. This source also mentions much of Hitlers ideas forming in Vienna. The Rise of Nazi Germany also included an excerpt from the Mein Kampf and further explained Hitlers hatred towards the Jewish.

Payne, Robert. The Life and Death of Adolf Hitler. New York: Praeger, 1973. Print. This book was a secondary source. It included many quotes from the book Mein Kampf. Most of the book talked about Adolf Hitlers life and doesnt go into great detail about his book. The quotes given were mainly to support an idea or were proved wrong by the author. I also saw for the first time a quote that I would see many times again: I honored my father, my mothered, I loved. Stone, David. Hitler's Army, 1939-1945: The Men, Machines and Organization. Minneapolis, MN: Zenith, 2009. Print.

This book provided an abundance in information and visuals. I thought it was very beneficial because of the picture references since I am a very visual person. Also, I learned a lot of interesting information that wasnt necessarily on our topic. I really enjoyed most of the photography and one cool fact was that they actually had bicycles with guns attached to it. Websites: "Adolf Hitler about the Jews - Quotes from Mein Kampf." Adolf Hitler about the Jews - Quotes from Mein Kampf. Mosaisk, n.d. Web. 02 Jan. <http://www.mosaisk.com/auschwitz/Adolf-Hitler-about-the-Jews.php>. 2014.

This website gave me incredible information on who influenced Hitler to begin disliking, and eventually hating the Jews as much as he did. According to this site, he was largely influenced by Dr. Karl Lueger. Karl Lueger was an inspiration to Hitler. This website was very factual, and helped a lot, since everything written was directly from Hitler (all of website is quotes from Mein Kampf). "Adolf Hitler." Home. Jewish Virtual Library, n.d. Web. 21 Nov. 2013. <http://www.jewishvirtuallibrary.org/jsource/Holocaust/hitler.html>. This source gave much information on the overall success of Hitler. I learned the origin of the Nazi symbol and got a lot of dates of when things happened. I also got the fact that the Mein Kampf was like the Nazis bible. I was also able to learn about the end of Hitlers career and his choice of death.

Adolf Hitler is named chancellor of Germany. 2013. The History Channel website. Dec 30 2013. <http://www.history.com/this-day-in-history/adolf-hitler-is-named-chancellor-ofgermany>. This source helped me understand how Hitler was able to be named chancellor of Germany. Many people had underestimated his power, but when he reached the turning point, nobody could stop him. This provided brief information added to our webpage about how Hitler achieved his power. "Adolf Hitler's First Antisemitic Writing." Adolf Hitler's First Antisemitic Writing. AmericanIsraeli Cooperative Enterprise, 2013. Web. 26 Nov. 2013. <http://www.jewishvirtuallibrary.org/jsource/Holocaust/Adolf_Hitler's_First_Antisemitic _Writing.html>.

As well as a translation of the Gemlich letter by Richard S. Levy, this website gives a few notes on Hitlers purpose of writing this letter. He explains everything about his theories of Germans and Jews. Also, this website gives information that he gained a reputation after this letter, for the superiors were impressed. "Alpha History: Nazi Germany." Alpha History: Nazi Germany. N.p., n.d. Web. 27 Jan. 2014. <http://alphahistory.com/nazigermany/the-reichstag-fire/>. This website included the colored picture that we used for the Reichstag Fire page. It provided a good quote which I thought supported our thesis pretty well. Black, Edwin. "Adolf Hitler: Could We Have Stopped Hitler?" Could We Have Stopped Hitler? The American-Israeli Cooperative Enterprise, 2013. Web. 25 Dec. 2013. <http://www.jewishvirtuallibrary.org/jsource/Holocaust/Black.html>. Edwin Black, the contributor to this webpage, writes about how American Jews reacted towards Hitler. He states that the American Jewish Congress president, Rabbi Stephen Samuel Wise organized boycott towards German goods to bring economic failure to the Nazi party. This boycott from Jews brought fear to the Nazis, believing that the Jewish had supernatural powers to destroy their economic power. Zionists spread word around Europe, while other countries supported the German boycott. Black makes a point in how Jews did what they could with bravery. "Children's Diaries During the Holocaust." Holocaust Encyclopedia. N.p., 10 June 2010. Web. <http://www.ushmm.org/wlc/en/article.php?ModuleId=10007952> This website translates and summarizes some of the lives of young kids during the Holocaust. Though the author is unknown, this person gives a vague summary of each of the diaries. It also includes a variety of photographs taken of the childrens diaries, though it is written in German. It describes the life of Anne Frank, the most famous child diarist lived during the Holocaust period. It includes a description of what she went through when the Nazis seized power, and that she and her family fled to Amsterdam. It also says what type of children lived during the era: Child diaries and journals from the Holocaust era can be grouped into three broad categories: 1) those written by children who escaped German-controlled territory and became refugees or partisans; 2) those written by children living in hiding; and 3) those maintained by young people as ghetto residents, as persons living under other restrictions imposed by German authorities, or, more rarely, as concentration camp prisoners. Darring, Jerry. "Catholic Timeline on Antisemitism." Catholic Timeline on Antisemitism. A

Catholic Timeline of Events Relating to Jews, Anti-Judaism, Antisemitism, and the Holocaust From the 3rd Century to the Beginning of the Third Millennium, n.d. Web. 20 Dec. 2013. <http://www.shc.edu/theolibrary/resources/Timeline.htm>. This website is a great example of how anti - semitism definitely did not start with Hitler. People have been discriminating against Jews for an uncountable amount of years. Hitler was most likely influenced by other people who had hated the Jews, which was why he despised them so much. In other matters, this website was full of events which prove anti - semitism has been around forever. This website includes lots of great information. "German Resistance to Hitler." United States Holocaust Memorial Museum. United States Holocaust Memorial Council, 10 June 2013. Web. 31 Jan. 2014. <http://www.ushmm.org/wlc/en/article.php?ModuleId=10005208>. This website gave mostly basic information about German resistance against Hitler. It also noted an attempt at assassination from military officials. Chief Justice of Peoples Court convicted the defendants, and the were executed. There was also a little bit of informations on the White Rose. Its three leaders were executed for distributing anti-Nazi leaflets. "Germany and the Treaty." Johndclare.net. N.p., n.d. Web. 21 Oct. 2013. <http://www.johndclare.net/peace_treaties5.htm> The author of this website gives brief information on the Treaty of Versailles. The website clearly states Germanys hatred towards this Treaty. It vaguely describes a summary of the Germans reaction towards this, and how they tried to protest against it. Germans were forced to agree to it anyway but tried to avoid it at first.

Goode, Erica. "Insane or Just Evil? A Psychiatrist Takes a New Look at Hitler." The New York Times. The New York Times, 17 Nov. 1998. Web. 19 Jan. 2014. This website suggests that though Hitler did possess several mental health issues, he was absolutely aware of his actions. In fact, it is most likely that he took pride in his actions. This, as many people believe, would prove his moral level (in the eyes of normal people) to be very, very low. Although this is not surprising, this proves how much of a psychopath Hitler truly was. Hemsley, Thomas M.D. "The Decline of the Weimar Republic and the Rise of the Nazi Party, 1929-1933." HubPages. HubPages Inc., 2 Feb. 2013. ri se-of-the-Nazi-Party-1929-1933>. This website showed the stages of Hitlers rise and described the causes of the Weimar Republic decline. It especially gave multiple dates of the collapse of the Weimar Republic. The Wall Street Crash and the Young Plan was mentioned, serving as the start of Hitlers rise of respect. It gave information about unemployment as an effect from the crash. More information of the SA was introduced, also influencing acceptance towards Hitler. "History." History. Web. 02 Jan. 2014. <http://www.bgsu.edu/colleges/library/crc/webquest/number%20the%20stars/History.ht m> This website made clear why Hitler forced the Jews in Europe to wear the Star of David when the Second World War started. The star symbolized that they were Jewish, and made it easier for him to identify who was Jewish and who was not (at concentration camps, or anywhere). "Hitler's Rise to Power." BBC News. BBC, 2014. Web. 27 Jan. 2014. <http://www.bbc.co.uk/schools/gcsebitesize/history/mwh/germany/hitlerpowerrev1.shtml>. This website was very helpful since it mentioned many factors of Hitlers rise as well as the rise of the Nazi group. It mentioned what the Nazi group did to ensure their power as they kept attaining more and more support. It mentioned the fires started such as the Kristallnacht. They also talked much about Hitlers chancellorship. We used a few quotes from this website to support our thesis from our project. "Hitler the Politician | The Politikal Blog." The Politikal Blog. N.p., n.d. Web. 27 Jan. 2014. <http://mypolitikal.com/2010/04/05/hitler-the-politician/>. Since this was a blog, I didnt extract too much information from this website. Though, this blog had a useful picture which I used on our website. Since it was an informational discussion, I got a quote from this website to represent what people were talking about.

"Hitler to Germany: "I'm Still Alive."" History.com. A&E Television Networks, n.d. Web. 22 Feb. 2014. <http://www.history.com/this-day-in-history/hitler-to-germany-im-still-alive>. This website contained the quote, Im still Alive, spoken by Hitler. He spoke these words on July 21, 1944, the day after The Bomb Plot. The Bomb Plot was his attempted assassination, set up by several High German Officials. They believed that he was going too far,

and what he was doing would backfire on Germany in the future. Yet, the plan did not go as expected. Hitler survived, and these words of his show that he was not backing down, and they could not get rid of him. This quote is used in our Attempted Assassination page on our website. "Holocaust Resistance: Jewish Resistance to the Nazi Genocide." The White Rose. AmericanIsraeli Cooperative Enterprise, 2014. Web. 31 Jan. 2014. <http://www.jewishvirtuallibrary.org/jsource/Holocaust/grobres.html>. I learned about various forms of resistance from Germans, either victims or people who wanted to help them. The different forms of resistance included: Running from trains, attacking captors, suicide, attempt to survive, attempt to be normal, underground newspaper, praying, setting up schools in ghettos, non-Jews hiding Jews in attics, cellars, and closets, and a little bit of active resistance that always ended badly. A few open resistances at concentration and death camps occurred, and Jews died and died and died. I also learned that not only would the Nazis punish you for doing something wrong or resisting, your whole family would suffer from the consequences as well. "Holocaust | The Nazi Regime." Holocaust | The Nazi Regime. N.p., n.d. Web. 27 Jan. 2014. <http://www.projetaladin.org/holocaust/en/history-of-the-holocaust-shoah/the-naziregime .html>. This website included much information, though the only thing I had used on our website was a couple quotes, as this website, the Project Aladin helped lead me to the right subject of research. "Holocaust Timeline: The Rise of the Nazi Party." Holocaust Timeline: The Rise of the Nazi Party. <http://fcit.usf.edu/holocaust/timeline/nazirise.htm> This website gives a clear timeline of the Rise of the Nazis. It shows very important dates that are around the time Hitler wrote the Mein Kampf. It starts at 1918, where the World War II had ended, and ends at 1932 which is right after the Great Depression. This timeline is meant for teachers but it helped us get information for our project because it includes a brief summary of each event. It also leads to many different sources with even more information about the rise of the Nazis. "Holocaust." World History: The Modern Era. ABC-CLIO, 2014. Web. 1 Jan. 2014. This website also gave many dates. It gives much information in the role the Allies played

to in the survival of the Jews. I learned that not much was done to help the Jews and people of Germany until it was too late. This website was quite useful in understanding the involvement of other countries in the Holocaust. Hosch, William L. "The Reichstag Fire and the Enabling Act of March 23, 1933."Encyclopedia Britannica Online. 23 Mar. 2007. Encyclopedia Britannica. 12 Jan. 2014. <http://www.britannica.com/blogs/2007/03/the-reichstag-fire-and-the-enabling-act/>. This website confirmed information I got on another site, but I got a different voting statistic. They that can give up essential liberty to obtain a little safety deserve neither liberty nor safety. J. Llewellyn et al, Opposition to the Nazis, Alpha History, accessed 31 Jan. http://alphahistory.com/nazigermany/opposition-to-the-nazis/. At this website, I learned mostly about the resistance coming from workers, former trade unionists, Urban youth groups, Christian churches, and military people. The Social Democratic Party was one of the largest resistance groups. When it was made illegal in 1933, parts of it went underground and became known as Roter Strosstrupp or relocated to Prague and became known as Sopade. Roter Strosstrupp had 3,000 members and a newspaper that was distributed every two weeks. Factory workers would refuse to salute Hitler, turn up for work, or purposely sabotage factory equipment. In 1939, a factory worker name Georg Elser planted a bomb in the Munich hall in attempt to assassinate Hitler. All would have worked out well, except the bomb went off a few minutes after Hitler finished his speech. I found the assassination attempt fairly interesting because of how close Georg was to actually killing Hitler. John Simkin. "Mein Kampf : Nazi Germany" ["Mein Kampf : Nazi Germany"]. Spartacus Educational. Spartacus Educational, n.d. Web. 20 Oct. 2013. <http://www.spartacus.schoolnet.co.uk/GERmein.htm>. This website is a biography about Adolf Hitler. It also includes quotes from the book Mein Kampf. This website was important because it provided much background information about Hitler and helped us connect events.

"Kristallnacht." United States Holocaust Memorial Museum. USHMM, n.d. Web. 27 Jan. 2014. This website was about the Kristallnacht, I used many quotes from this website, the United States Memorial Museum. Also, we used many pictures and put them on our website.

McCormack, Simon. "Hitler's Mein Kampf Book To Be Republished In Germany; Jewish Groups, Holocaust Groups React." The Huffington Post. TheHuffingtonPost.com, 27 Apr. 2012. Web. 19 Oct. 2013. <http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2012/04/27/hitler-mein-kampf_n_1459150.html>. This source is for interested readers about the Jewish and their reactions to the republished version of Mein Kampf. Although this source does not reveal much information of the topic, it confirms that many Jewish people are unsatisfied with the republishing of Mein Kampf even with the newer annotated version. Hitlers hurtful and biased words printed into the copy of the Mein Kampf still cause people to question the publishing of the newer copy. The mini film added to the website stated that Hitler showed his intentions of wanting to overthrow the government of Germany as well as Jewish conspiracy of achieving power was included in the very book the wrote in prison. McKale, Donald M. "Answers to Questions from Amy Huang." E-mail interview. 5 Jan. 2013. Mr. McKale, a retired professor, kindly supplied me with a lot of information. I first found his article in World Book Encyclopedia and I used one of his quotes. I asked him to elaborate on his statement, and he replied with much supporting details. I used much of his information on our website. I included stuff about Hitler promising duties when given power. McKale introduced me to the topic of how Hitler not only despised Jews, but fellow Germans which he referred to as traitors. I learned Hitlers intentions of using poison gas to resolve the issue of a not pure Germany. "Mein Kampf." Hitler's Political Ideas. The Holocaust Explained, n.d. Web. 02 Jan. 2014. <http://www.theholocaustexplained.org/ks4/anti-semitism/prejudice-and-antisemitism/hitler-s-political-ideas/>. This website explained that Hitler believed Germans were a part of a superior race, the Aryans. Ideally, they would have blonde hair and blue eyes. He also believed Jews conspired against the Aryans - to rule the world themselves. To prevent destruction to Germany (where the Aryans lived), he also rid it of other groups he thought were imperfect (such as homosexuals, the physically disabled, etc.)

"Mein Kampf." Encyclopedia Britannica Online. Encyclopedia Britannica, n.d. Web. 10 Oct. 2013. <http://www.britannica.com/EBchecked/topic/373362/Mein-Kampf>. This source tells of Hitlers stay in prison after the Beer Hall Putsch. It also describes

how the book came to be, what is in it , and people of influence. First off, Hitler was allowed much more freedom than normal. Allowed to roam the prison of his own free will, Hitler was able to learn a lot at the cost of the government. I learned that the idea to write this book originally came from a man named max Amnan. He was also the original writer of this orated book. However, because of his poor skills in writing, Rudolf Hess soon replaces him. This website explains that the first volume of the book written in prison was titled Die Aberchnung or The Settlement or Revenge and the second volume was written after his release and titled Die Nationalsozialistiche Bewegung or The National Socialist Movement. The second volume summarizes his political program and terrorist methods. "Mein Kampf by Adolf Hitler." Mein Kampf by Adolf Hitler. Hitler.org, n.d. Web. 27 Jan. 2014. <http://www.hitler.org/writings/Mein_Kampf/>. This source allows you to read the whole book, Mein Kampf. Therefore, you are practically granted access to all Hitlers thought and goals at the time (he had no intentions to publish it at the time). It also gives you his point of view, and why he believed his point of view was correct. This website was amazingly helpful, and has provided me with lots of newly- found information. This website was very advantageous because it contains all the passages from Hitlers book, Mein Kampf. If this were in actual book form, I believe it would be a primary source, but since it is included in a website, it is doubtful that it is included as a primary source. The website was especially great because it gives you a direct view at what Hitler thought about the world, about people, about everything. The information gained from this website is included in the website, in various places.

Mein Kampf is published. 2013. The History Channel website. Oct 20 2013, 10:24 http://www.history.com/this-day-in-history/mein-kampf-is-published. This website gave me incredible information on how Mein Kampf was basically an opening to the nightmarish events, which would start after a few years. Just as Hitler planned world domination, it somewhat occurred. He nearly took over Europe, and if the Einstein Letter, had not been written, he may have succeeded wholly in his plan of world domination. "Mein Kampf." Mein Kampf. HistoryLearningSite.co.uk, n.d. Web. 04 Nov. 2013. This website takes extracts from the book which do a wonderful job emphasizing how much Hitler despised the Jews. The extracts fit very well, and just as they are read, the reader will understand how he felt about them (he felt negatively toward the Jews). In other matters, it is a very good overall website, and some of the extracts provided will be used (and cited).

"NTEB: Henry Ford, Adolph Hitler's Inspiration For Treatment Of Jews." NTEB: Henry Ford, Adolph Hitler's Inspiration For Treatment Of Jews. NOW THE END BEGINS, n.d. Web. 05 Nov. 2013. This website explained to me that Adolf Hitler got his inspiration for writing Mein Kampf, from Henry Ford, the automobile manufacturer. Hitler got inspiration after reading Henry Fords, The International Jew, which convinced him to believe that Jews were planning to take over the world. In a way, you could say, if Hitler had not read Henry Fords book, Hitler may have not hated Jews (at least as much as he did), and the Holocaust would have never occurred. Ray, Jon Jay. "Why Hitler Hated Jews." Web log post. Majorityrights.com. N.p., n.d. Web. 11 Nov. 2013. <http://majorityrights.com/weblog/comments/why_hitler_hated_jews/> This websites explains Hitler hatred towards Jews, describing his point of view. Hitler was a very strong patriot who went a little overboard with his love of his nation. It also explains that in the beginning, Hitler saw Jews as merely a religion, not a race, and did not hate them. When he noticed that most of the preachers who were causing class war were Jews, he started hating them. This is because he hated people who separated his people. Remembering the Holocaust. 2014. The History Channel website. Jan 23 2014, 9:22 http://www.history.com/photos/remembering-the-holocaust. Although this is a website full of pictures, this was the only category it would fit under, sorry if the category it is located in is misleading. In other matters, this website (the pictures on the website) do a wonderful job of explaining how much the Jews in Europe during WWII had to go through. From the pictures of the millions of Jewish victims names on the wall to the thousands of rings taken from Jews at concentration camps, you can tell how much they had suffered. This website gives an incredible understanding about how much they actually went through, as if you were there at the time this was happening. Shannon, Phil. "The Allies' Role in the Holocaust." Green Left Weekly. N.p., 28 Mar. 2001. Web. 12 Jan. 2014.<https://www.greenleft.org.au/node/25407> This website explained the Allies role in the Holocaust and WW2. I learned that we Americans didnt really do much until nearly too late. Although we had spies in Germany, the Americans denied to the truth for a long time claiming they were just rumors. The Allies put their needs in front of helping save other people. They came up with every possible reason they could to not help and stay out of it.

Simkin, John. "Mein Kampf : Nazi Germany." Mein Kampf : Nazi Germany. Spartacus Educational. 26 Oct. 2013 <http://www.spartacus.schoolnet.co.uk/GERmein.htm>. John Simkin, the writer of this website, lets the reader understand why Hitler would write the Mein Kampf. I learned the motivation and encouragement for him to write it. It was very important to our project since it shows Hitlers point of view from the book, and adds commentary to Hitlers very own words. Simkin writes of how he believed of the German/ Aryan race. He persuaded the other Germans, blaming Jews of every negative event, such as the defeat of the World War I. This website tells Hitlers dislikes that are written in the Mein Kampf. Taylor, Adam. "On The Dresden Bombing Anniversary, 13,000 People Formed A Human Chain To Block A Neo-Nazi March." Business Insider. 14 Feb. 2012. Business Insider, Inc. 12 Jan. 2014. <http://www.businessinsider.com/photos-on-the-67th-anniversary-of-thebombing-of-dresden-13000-people-blocked-a-neo-nazi-march-2012-2?op=1>. This website gives information about the feeling of people about neo-Nazis now, in Dresden. I was also able to learn a bit about the Dresden bombing. It was four Allied bombings that took about 25,000 citizen lives and caused a huge fire for three days. It also gives many modern pictures of an event that happens every year to remember the lost lives and how they hate Nazis. "The Four Year Plan." The Four Year Plan. HistoryLearningSite.co.uk, May 2012. Web. 03 Jan. 2014.<http://www.historylearningsite.co.uk/four_year_plan.htm> This article is informing the public about the second four year plan, which started from 1936-1939. This four year plan was organized by Herman Goering. Though many opposed his leadership, Hitler had much faith in him, and so, he stayed. The purpose of the plan was to make Germanys economy solely around the preparation of war. There were four priorities in the FourYear Plan: 1. To increase agricultural production. 2. Retrain key sectors of the work force. 3. Government regulation of imports and exports. 4. To achieve self-sufficiency in the production of raw materials. Later, this plan was extended into WW II. THE HISTORY CHANNEL PRESENTS: 10 DAYS THAT UNEXPECTEDLY CHANGED AMERICA Einsteins Letter (JULY 16, 1939). History Channel, n.d. Web. 20 Oct. 2013. This website gives a great explanation of what the Einstein Letter is: a letter written by

Albert Einstein on August 2nd, 1939 of which told President Franklin Delano Roosevelt that Hitler was planning on creating a nuclear bomb. If this had happened, Hitler could have succeeded in his sinister plan of world domination. "The History Place - Rise of Hitler: Hitler's Book "Mein Kampf"" The History Place - Rise of Hitler: Hitler's Book "Mein Kampf" The History Place, 1996. Web. 20 Oct. 2013. This website greatly interested me because it states that in Mein Kampf, it was more like Hitler was just writing down his thoughts and dreams for the future, not speaking to an audience. As you can see, Mein Kampf in a way is sort of like Hitlers diary, other than the fact it was published. Either way, this website was extremely useful and interesting. This source thoroughly explains the purpose of Hitlers autobiography, the Mein Kampf. I learned that this book was originally called "Four and a Half Years of Struggle against Lies, Stupidity and Cowardice but was simplified later on. Through this website, the author explains what Hitler refers to as an Aryan. Aryans are Hitlers idea of the perfect race. This website lets the reader get how Hitler viewed Germans and how he saw Jews. In the Mein Kampf, Hitler describes his theory of the Jewish conspiracy to take over Germany and the world. The author of the site also states how the Mein Kampf sold very poorly in 1925 but became very popular as the Nazi Bible when Hitler became the Chancellor of Germany. "The History Place - Triumph of Hitler: Hitler Reveals War Plans." The History Place Triumph of Hitler: Hitler Reveals War Plans. The History Place, 2001. Web. 04 Jan. 2014.<http://www.historyplace.com/worldwar2/triumph/tr-hossbach.htm> On this website, I learned mostly about the meeting where Hitler summarized his war plans to his top generals and trustees. The men attending had to swear an oath of secrecy and the meeting started lasting a little over four hours long. During the meeting, Hitler explained his goal of eventually getting Russia. The meeting was about how to get Austria and Czechoslovakia to protect Germany. He then goes on to explain his three strategies on achieving this. "The History Place - Triumph of Hitler: The Nuremberg Laws." The History Place - Triumph of Hitler: The Nuremberg Laws. N.p., n.d. Web. 25 Jan. 2014. <http://www.historyplace.com/worldwar2/triumph/tr-nurem-laws.htm>. This web page provided various quotes, which I used in our website to support our thesis sentence. It also helped direct me to certain pictures which I thought were interesting. "The Holocaust." Holocaust History. N.p., 2013. Web. 20 Oct. 2013. <http://www.yadvashem.org/yv/en/holocaust/about/01/persecution.asp>. This source helped greatly towards our project, since it has information from 1919, when

Hitler had joined the National Socialist Party, to the start of the Nuremberg Laws in 1935. Both these dates have not been mentioned before, since I did no research on Hitlers arrival to the Nazi Party. I also learned that the National Socialist Party is called the Nazi Party. Nuremberg Laws were also unheard of for me before this website. They were laws placed that would not let a Jew and a non-Jew get married. This website didnt mention the Mein Kampf but it described events that had occurred before and after the event. It mostly showed stages of how the Nazis gained power and mentioned many events as well as a vague explanation. It also introduced a boycott against Trueman, Chris. "Hitler Youth Movement." Hitler Youth Movement. History Learning Site, n.d. Web. 27 Dec. 2013. This website shows how much Hitler was determined to take over the world. For example, the reason he killed so many Jews is because he thought they would prevent him from putting his plans into action. Hitler would corrupt the German youths minds with how they were the best (the Germans) and how they should be ruling the world. The children went through lots of difficult training, because Hitler believed this was an extremely important part in carrying out his plans. Overall, this website was very factual, and provided specific information most websites do not contain. Trueman, Chris. "Mein Kampf." Mein Kampf. HistoryLearningSite.co.uk, 2013. Web. 18 Oct. 2013. <http://www.historylearningsite.co.uk/Adolf_Hiter_Mein_Kampf.htm>. Chris Trueman describes the events leading to the Mein Kampf in this website. He briefly explains that the failure of the Beer Hall Putsch event was the cause of Hitlers imprisonment. Of course, this is significant because Hitler only wrote the book when he was in prison. In the book, he explained his hatred of Jews and his plans for Germanys future, while this website provides a few extracts from the Mein Kampf itself. This website let me understand that Hitler finally knew that his gathering of the Nazi group had to be legal. Trueman, Chris. "The Treaty of Versailles." The Treaty of Versailles. HistoryLearningSite.co.uk, 2013. Web. 18 Oct. 2013. <http://www.historylearningsite.co.uk/treaty_of_versailles.htm>. Chris Trueman, a passionate man who teaches American and British Politics and history, was the author of the whole HistoryLearingSite.co.uk website. This particular article that he wrote is partially related to our topic. Although this is a second hand source, his writing is very easy to understand. It is not extremely detailed but it tells more than enough information on what we need for this specific section. This web page was important in our project because it shows of how the Treaty of Versailles was in part of the Holocaust. The Treaty took place before the Mein

Kampf was written, but was around this time. This explained the effect on Germany during this period, and how the leaders of this treaty viewed Germany, as well as their intentions on how the country shall be treated. Trueman, Chris. "The White Rose Movement." The White Rose Movement. HistoryLearningSite.co.uk, 2013. Web. 18 Feb. 2014. Through this website, I had access to a quote that supported our page about the White Rose Movement. This quote represents their ideas written on a leaflet. They state that passive resistance can overthrow the National Socialists. Whipps, Heather. "How 'Mein Kampf' Changed the World." LiveScience.com. N.p., Aug.-Sept. 2008. Web. 17 Oct. 2013. <http://www.livescience.com/2821-mein-kampf-changed-world.html> This website, livescience, is someone elses interpretation of the book that Hitler wrote, the Mein Kampf. The author, Heather Whipps, is a second hand source for the Holocaust. She is a History Columnist who works for the LiveScience Store. Her article was very factual and related to our topic. She describes the times that Hitler had behind the prison bars and gives great detail of both the historical times and compares them to our opinions for it present day. "White Rose." United States Holocaust Memorial Museum. United States Holocaust Memorial Council, 10 June 2013. Web. 27 Jan. 2014. <http://www.ushmm.org/wlc/en/article.php?ModuleId=10007188>. This web page, by the United States Memorial Museum, provided a lot of information about the white rose movement. Though I didnt include a lot of information about this movement on our website, I added a quote about it from this website to support the idea of resistance coming from people. Many believe that there was no opposition against Hitler, but this website explained that many Germans actually did go against Hitler. "Why Did Hitler Hate Jews?" Why Did Hitler Hate Jews? Anne Frank, n.d. Web. 17 Dec. 2013. <http://www.annefrank.org/en/Education/Teachers-portal/Pupilsquestions/Why-didHitler-hate-Jews/>. This website suggests that Adolf Hitler was influenced when he was a child to be anti semitic, due to the fact that he lived in an area where that was extremely common. He was influenced to believe that most of the horrible things that happened in the world, was at the fault of the Jews. So, his solution was to banish them from society. This website was incredibly helpful, and gives a great background on why he might have hated the Jews as much as he did.

Yerdon, Adrienne. "Hitlers Successful Rise to Power." Hitlers Successful Rise to Power and Its Effects on the German Judiciary. N.p., n.d. Web. 21 Nov. 2013. <http://www.ithaca.edu/history/journal/papers/fa03Hitler.htm>. This website gave a lot of information in the field of Hitlers work. It also included a lot of important dates and people. It was incredibly helpful. I learned that Mein Kampf was written mainly around the idea of preserving the Aryan blood. Also, many different courts like the Peoples Court and Special Court were created so Hitler and the likes could have their way a nd eliminate enemies.

Zapotoczny, Walter S. "Adolf Hitlers Rise to Power and the Effect of Mein Kampf." Wazaponline.com. N.p., 2005. Web. 12 Dec. 2013. <http://www.wzaponline.com/HitlersRisetoPower.pdf>. This website gave a lot of information about the rise of Hitler. It does give a little bit of information about the book, but not too much, despite the article title. Videos: Hitler's Rise to Power "Hitler's Germany" Mr Allsop History, n.d. Youtube. 2008. Web. 27 Jan. 2014. <https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W0eyxlRGo5Y&bpctr=1390870868>. This video shows the rise to Hitler, as well as some contributing factors to the support and rise of the Nazi group. I edited this video to make the time within the limits of the NHD rules of 45 seconds, for it was a couple minutes long before. Jewish Resistance During the Holocaust. Ms. Pradaina, Youtube, 2013. This film was created to inform others of the Jewish resistance that actually took place during the Holocaust. It informed the viewers about the various ways of Jews opposing Hitler. I cut out most of the video so I could fit it on our website. I put this video under the page Jewish Resistance. "Mein Kampf The Story of Adolf Hitler HD History Channel Documentary." YouTube. YouTube, 05 June 2013. Web. 23 Jan. 2014. This video was very helpful, it basically covers the birth of Hitler, to the writing of Mein Kampf, to the myth of the perfect Aryan race. It even questions whether Hitler contained Jewish blood, or not. The opposite, it states, has not been proven. Therefore, it is possible that Hitler has descended from a Jewish family member. It has been thought that one of Hitlers

grandfathers was in fact, Jewish. This video did a fantastic job at explaining why he was an antisemite, to why he let his hatred go that far. Nazi Germany - The Nuremberg Laws - Hitler and the Jews N03d. TimelinesTV, 2013. Youtube. This video provided much information about Hitlers establishment of the Nuremberg Laws. It described much of Hitlers power in restricting rights against Jews. Many people were influenced by him, also taking part in the anti-Septimism. I learned that not only were Jews verbally ostracised from public areas, but signs were put up to support the discrimination. We used this in our website in the The Nuremberg Laws section. I edited this film to make it shorter. Survivors Remember Kristallnacht. Perf. Robert Behr. United States Holocaust Memorial Museum, 2012. Online. In this film, a Kristallnacht laborer Robert (Bob) Behr is interviewed about his experience of the Kristallnacht. He described the scene as terrifying, as many shops were destroyed and the merchandise was demolished. I thought this would be perfect for our website since it shows the point of view from one who actually experienced it. I edited this video so that it would fit within the time limit of our website. The Path to Nazi Genocide. Prod. United States Holocaust Memorial Museum. Dir. Raye Farr. YouTube. YouTube, 13 Jan. 2014. Web. 25 Jan. 2014. <http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=sRcNq4OYTyE>. This website was very beneficial for my understanding as to what happened during the Holocaust, and the beginning. I learned that the main goals of Hitler were territory expansion, pure state of only Aryans, and getting rid of all the European Jews. Also, I realized that Chancellor and President were two different offices. In January 1933, Berlin, right before the Nazis could lose all favor, Hitler was actually offered the position of Chancellor. The Nazis were surprised by this generous offer and took the chance. The Conservative politicians, didnt like nor trust Hitler, but thinking, they could control him, let him stay in office. In 1938, Austria was made a part of Germany. That same year, Kristallnacht, named by the Germans, or Night of Broken Glass, occurred. The SS, SA, and Hitler Youth destroyed or vandalized over 7,000 stores and 250 synagogues. I also learned that for a while, the SS would let Jews leave the concentration camps if they agreed to emigrate. This however, was not completely nice, they probably knew that most of them couldnt do so because of the ever changing laws on immigration and passports.
I thought that this quote from the video was very good and used it on the website: The

Holocaust darkened the worlds view of humanity and our future. As the world struggled to

understand what had happened, a new word, genocide, was needed for these crimescrimes committed by ordinary people from a society not unlike our own. "Why Did People Support Hitler? - The Rise of Adolf Hitler - Online Lesson Www.SchoolHistory.co.uk." Why Did People Support Hitler? - The Rise of Adolf Hitler Online Lesson - Www.SchoolHistory.co.uk. N.p., n.d. Web. 02 Feb. 2014. <http://www.schoolhistory.co.uk/lessons/riseofhitler/whysupport.htm>. This website seemed somewhat reliable, though I had only extracted a quote from this page to put in our website. I put in the Support page to show why the German people accepted Hitlers ideas. Many ask why people would listen to a person whose dream is to dominate the world. This quote explains exactly why, and it shows how the Germans believed that Hitler was doing good to their nation.
