1.EnteryourXavier usernameand password. 2.ClickonLogin. 3.Youwillnowsee yournameatthe toprighthandside ofthewebpage.

ThereisaDND(DoNotDisturb)softkeyoptiononyour phone.Whenyouselectthis,theaudibleringerwillnotsound withincomingphonecalls.Youcanchooseherewhatkindof DNDnotificationsyouwantwhenyouhaveanincomingcall.

UndertheAbbreviatedDialSettings,enterthephonenum berandthengivethenumberalabel.Besuretoentera9 beforeyouenteranexternalnumber. 3. Thesystemautomaticallyappliesthesamelabeltothe ASCIILabelfield.

4. Whenyouarefinishedenteringthedesiredabbreviateddial settings,clickontheSaveicontosaveyourchanges. 5. ClicktheApplyConfigbuttonintheSpeedDialandAbbre viatedDialConfigurationtoolbartoapplythechangesto yourphone. 6. TheUserSettingsoptionallowsyoutochangethePINnumber thatisneededtoaccessthePersonalDirectoryfromyour phone.ToaccesstheUserSettings. 1. UnderUserOptions,selectUserSettings. 2. EnteryourCurrentPINnumber,thenyourNewPIN number.RetypeyournewpinnumberintheConfirmPIN field,andthenclickontheSavebutton. 3. Yournewpinnumberwillnowworkonyourphonewhen youneedtoaccessyourpersonaldirectory. NOTE:Thedefaultpinnumberforeveryonewhentheyreceive theirnewphoneshouldbe1397.Therehavebeenseveral caseswherethispinnumberdoesnotworkfromthephone whentheuserfirstreceivesit.However,wehavebeenableto resetthepinnumberbyentering1397intheCurrentPINfield (eventhoughitdoesntworkfromthephone),andtypingina newpinnumberintheNewPINandConfirmPINfields.

ThePersonalAddressBookoptionintheUserOptions dropdownlistallowsyoutoadd,edit,ordeleteentriestoyour PersonalAddressBookonyourphone. NOTE1:ItisimportanttoaddentriestoyourPersonalAddress BookbeforeaddinganyFastDials.

User Options: Directory

TheDirectoryoptionintheUserOptionsdropdownlistserves asthelinktotheXavierCorporateDirectory. 1. YoucansearchthedirectorybyLastName,FirstName, UserID,Ext,orLDAPExt. 2. Ifyouknowtheextensionnumber,searchbyLDAPExt. 3. Todisplaytheentiredirectory,leavethesearchfieldblank, andclickontheFindbutton.Thedirectorywillbesortedby whicheverfieldiscurrentlydisplayedinthefielddropdown list.Intheexampleabove,thelistissortedbylastname. 4. Theextensionsforsomeofthesecretariesshowmany namesforthatextension,asitistheextensionthatisoften usedforalladjunctfacultyinthatdepartment.

NOTE2:NamesinthePersonalAddressBookaredisplayedby NickName,whichisreallythesameasDisplayName. ItisnotpossibletoduplicateaNickName,soifyouwanttoadd morethanonepersonwiththesamefirstname,youmayneed toaddalastnameinitialtodifferentiatethem.Toadd newentriestoyourPersonalAddressBook. 1. ClickontheAddNewbutton. 2. Typeinthecontactsinformation,andclicktheSavebutton. NOTE:InternalXavierphonenumberscanbeenteredinthe WorkPhonefieldasjustthe4digitextension.Allexternal numbers,includingXavierissuedcellphones,muststartwith a9precedingtherestofthephonenumber. 3. ConfirmthatthewordsAddsuccessfularedisplayedunder theStatusheadingtowardsthetopofyourscreen.

4. ToreturntothePersonalAddressBookFind/Listscreen, eitherselectthePersonalAddressBookoptionfromthe UserOptionsdropdownlist,orclickontheGobutton 3 next totheRelatedLinksfieldintheupper,righthandcornerof thePersonalAddressBookConfigurationscreen.

FastDialswillsaveyousomestepswhenplacingacalltosomeonelistedinyourPersonalDirectory.Beforeyousetupa newFastDial,makesureyouhavealreadyaddedthedesiredcontacttoyourPersonalAddressBook.TosetupaFastDialfora particularcontact. 1. UnderUserOptions,selectFastDials. 2. ClicktheAddNewbutton. 3. UnderthePersonalAddressBookEntrySelectionsectiontowardsthetopofthewindow,eithersearchforthecontact youwouldliketocreatetheFastDialfor,orleavethesearchfieldblankandclickontheFindbuttontodisplayyourentire PersonalAddressBook.

4. FromyourPersonalAddressBooklist,selectonthephonenumberforwhichyouwanttosetuptheFastDial.Youcaneither selecttheMobilePhonenumber,theWorkPhonenumber,ortheHomePhonenumber. 5. Assoonasyouclickonthedesiredphonenumber,thenextavailableFastDialnumberwillbeassignedandwillappearinthe FastDial*field.ThephonenumberyouselectedwillappearinthePhoneNumberfield.

6. ClicktheSavebuttontosaveyournewFastDialnumber.

Using Fast Dials on your Phone

OnceyouhavesetupaFastDialfromtheCiscoCallManagerUserOptions,youcanusetheFast Dialsdirectlyfromyourphone. 1. ClickontheDirectoriesbuttononyourphone.Thisisthebuttonwiththepictureofanopen book. 2. ScrolldownuntilyougettothePersonalDirectory.SelectthedirectorybypressingtheSelect softkey. 3. ScrolldowntothePersonalFastDialsoptionbyusingthedownarrowonyour NavigationKey. 4. PresstheDialsoftkeydisplayedonyourphonescreeninordertodialtheFastDialnumber. NOTE:ThenicknamefromyourPersonalDirectorywillbeprecededbyaW,H,orMto reflectwhetherthefastdialnumberisawork,home,ormobilenumber.
