FUTURO SIMPLE Y TO BE GOING TO.

QU HAY QUE SABER?

Cmo se forma el futuro simple ? Qu usos tiene? Cmo se forma To be going to? Qu usos tiene? Qu expresiones temporales o partculas son propias o pueden aparecer con ese tiempo? Futuro Simple:

Forma: se forma con el auxiliar shall o will seguido de la base del infinitivo. Ej: We shall leave tomorrow morning then

Shall se utiliza para las primeras personas ( I,We), y Will para todas las personas. En la prctica, el uso de Shall queda restringido mayoritariamente a otros usos que no tienen mucha relacin con el futuro simple ( ofrecerse, sugerir, etc). Tanto Shall como Will son auxiliares, lo cual quiere decir que para negativas e interrogativas no necesita ningn otro verbo auxiliar.

Ejemplo: I shall not do that ; Will they accept these terms?

Ambas formas pueden contraerse: will/ shall > we will go > well go I shall take > Ill take. Will not > wont ; shall not > shant

Usos: 1.- Para predecir acciones sobre el futuro. Con frecuencia vienen introducidos con la expresin I think: I think they will finally find a vaccine against AIDS. 2.- Para expresar una accin futura. We will take the bus next Tuesday at 8.00 pm 3.- Para indicar acciones que se deciden espontneamente en el momento de hablar : the phone is ringing. I will take it.

Este tercer uso es el que produce ms confusin y errores entre los estudiantes espaoles, ya que en espaol esta decisin sin planificacin previa, se expresa con el presente de indicativo. the phone is ringing. I will take it.> Suena el telfono, Yo lo cojo

To be going to Forma: Se forma con el verbo to be en presente+ going to+ verbo principal en infinitivo

Mike is going to to fly to New York City. (affirmative) Shes not going to overcome that situation (negative) What are you going to do next summer? (interrogative).

Uso: 1.- Para indicar los planes para el futuro o intenciones. We are going to move to the city centre in a few months 2.- Para hacer predicciones sobre hechos muy prximos y posibles, puesto que esa prediccin est basada en indicadores que apuntan a que algo va a pasar. He is not studying at all, and he is missing a lot of classes. He is going to fail his exams.
