Hello MVMPCS Volunteers! Welcome to March! Spring will be here before we know it and many new projects are getting underway. MMCI Auction, Spanish Camp and 5k/Fun Run Committees are just getting started and could all use some help. Check out PAGE 2 for details on these positions. A big job we are looking to fill this month is Building and Grounds Committee Chair. This person would be responsible for organizing jobs needed to be completed for both the outdoor play areas and various indoor spaces. If this is something you may be interested in we'd love to hear from you! Please let us know if you have any questions about the job. We thank Erin Frank for taking on this position for the last few years and wish her well in her new positions as MMCI MVM Parent Rep and Auction Committee Chair. Upcoming Important Events for Volunteers - MVM's next Community Coffee is February 28th, the monthly GC meeting is Monday, March 3rd and the MMCI meeting is March 26th. All of these events are open to the public and your attendance does count toward your volunteer hours. Please join us and see how you can help make a difference at your MVMPCS!

Get to Know - The Building and Grounds Committee

Who are they? The current chair of this committee is Erin Frank. To contact the chair email her at kfrank1@mac.com. A NEW CHAIR IS NEEDED TO HELP ERIN TRANSTION INTO HER NEW ROLES, PLEASE LET US KNOW IF INTERESTED. What do they do? The main job of the committee is to maintain the exterior play areas and landscaping. They also are in charge of some interior projects, like painting. When do they meet? This committee has monthly meetings on a regular basis. Please watch the group announcements for the next scheduled meeting. Are new members needed? This committee is actively searching for new members and a new chair. They welcome new members at all times to help them brainstorm new ideas. Volunteers are needed for various jobs throughout the year!

Organize tasks needed to be completed on the outdoor play areas and various indoor jobs. Help organize various aspects of the MMCI Auction. Many positions are open. Volunteers are needed to help organize all aspects of the camp. It will run all summer and Spanish knowledge is not required. Volunteers needed to organize a new MMCI event for Fall 2014 Ms. Zoe us requesting volunteer help to organize existing shelving in her classroom and help to build additional shelving. Families will visit local businesses this Fall and talk to them about the program.
