Sustainability
Steel is an essential material, intrinsic to our way of life and to the products society will demand in a sustainable future. Steel is a material that is used, not consumed. It is recycled and used again, without any loss of quality, time after time. At Tata Steel, we are committed to making the products society needs and to making them in the most responsible way possible. This means, practically, that we commit to:

Producing steel products for the future. Investing in sustainable steel-making. Improving our existing processes. Facilitating the recycling loop.

Our steel enables our customers to make safer cars, more energyefficient buildings and infrastructure, easily-recoverable and recyclable packaging and many other products which help to move society towards our vision of a sustainable future.

TRISOMET 333 PV SYSTEM OVERVIEW

Trisomet 333 PV System is a high quality, lightweight crystalline integrated roof panel and PV module system that is powered by SOLON. The slim SOLON SOLbond PV module is bonded directly to the Trisomet 333 Colorcoat Prisma roof panel providing a powerful frameless solution that has a 25 year warranty for maximum investment security.

1. Trisomet 333 system with external Colorcoat Prisma finished steel. 2. Sika Sikasil SG-20 adhesive system. 3. SOLON SOLbond PV module.

Key benefits: Trisomet 333 PV, powered by SOLON

Lightweight PV module design (less than 10Kg/m2), providing minimal loading to structure and hence providing savings to main steel work specification. There are no requirements for fasteners to penetrate the roof which therefore maintains the thermal and weather tightness integrity of the Trisomet 333 System. Slim panel installed flush with roof panel with hidden connectors providing a sleek attractive aesthetic. Direct bonding to roof panel system provides economical and fast track installation. Frameless system minimises dirt and water traps to allow efficient natural wash down through rainfall, and also avoids any shading caused by traditional mounted systems. High power output. Using the SOLON SOLbond Integra system in conjunction with Colorcoat Prisma by Tata Steel provides the building owner with the confidence that the combined solution has a lifespan consistent with the duration of feed in tariffs in most relevant European countries.

All the approved standard solid colours and specially selected metallic colours for use with the SOLON SOLbond Integra system, surpass requirements of RUV4 and RC5 certification as per EN 10169:2009 providing outstanding colour retention and corrosion resistance. The Trisomet 333 PV, powered by SOLON is offered with a Platinum System Guarantee which is free of charge and provides peace of mind to clients due to a 25 year cover on material performance and 12 year cover for workmanship. Trisomet 333 is available with Colorcoat High Reflect pre-finished steel which is a bespoke liner designed to provide maximum light reflectivity within the building to reduce energy requirements, associated operational costs and CO2 emissions. Colorcoat Prisma standard colours have been tested by independent laboratories and passed the requirements of BS6920:2000 for cold water use and certified by WRAS (Water Regulations Advisory Scheme) for use in contact with potable (drinking) water.

Trisomet 333 PV Design

DETAIL DESIGN
Specification
Tata Steel's technical team are available to explain how the system works and what benefits you can gain from installing the Trisomet 333 PV System on your building. Further to this initial discussion our Technical Team will develop a NBS Platinum specification for your project, which will incorporate the roof covering and all ancillary components together with the SOLON SOLbond Integra system.

Installation
The approved installers will fit both the Trisomet 333 and the SOLON system and will arrange for SOLONs approved electrical contractor to wire and connect the system.

Design
The specification will provide a list of approved installers which will cover both the Trisomet 333 and the SOLON system installation. These contractors will liaise directly with SOLON to produce a detail design for the Photovoltaic element and provide a quote for the whole system.

Guarantees
Tata Steel and SOLON will inspect the installation, the contractor will register the project and the system guarantees will be issued.

INSTALLATION
Trisomet 333 System
Trisomet 333 installation is as per standard recommendations, with the exception of the use of sealed rivets for all side lap stitching in the areas in which the SOLON SOLbond Integra system is to be installed.
Use sealed Rivet for side lap stitching

SOLON SOLbond Integra layout

The SOLON system is installed perpendicular to the roof slope with cabling in a vertical direction, as shown below. It is good practice to layout panels to ensure maintenance paths are available.
1973mm

Adhesive bond
Two types of adhesive are used first transfer adhesive, or adhesive pads and secondly a paste-like, permanently elastic adhesive, Sikasil SG-20. The adhesive pads give sufficient immediate adhesion directly upon installation and the elastic adhesive provides the long term strength. The height and width of the adhesive beading is defined by the nozzles supplied and will equal the height of the adhesive pads following installation. The adhesive pads are applied first, followed by beads of adhesive between the pads. The module must then be affixed to the roof within the drop time of the adhesive.
