Social Media & Research Coordinator


Locations Erbil Description FHI 360s Foras project seeks to alleviate unemployment and boost the countrys fledgling private sector by connecting Iraqi businesses with qualified workers and supporting small businesses and entrepreneurs. We are currently seeking qualified candidates for the position ofSocial Media and Research Coordinator in Erbil, Iraq. Position Description The Social Media Coordinator reports to the Communications Director. The Coordinator will manage, develop and implement social media and research campaigns in development by the Foras project. The Social Media and Research Coordinator will manage Foras media activities on the following platforms as well as provide analytical research support for Foras outreach and communication activities: Facebook LinkedIn Google Ads Yahoo Ads Bing Ads Foras-Iraq.org Website Research Support for Foras-jobs.com website Research and Survey Support for Communications and Outreach Activities The role of the Social Media and Research Coordinator is hands-on and
involves working as part of a team. The coordinator must be able to complete a wide range of activities requiring clear communication, excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. They must work well under pressure and occasionally short timelines, ensuring the smooth and efficient running of an event. Key Responsabilities Manage Social Media marketing campaigns and day-to-day activities including: Curate relevant content to reach the audience most likely to buy from you. Write editorial content Monitor, listen and respond to users in a Social way while cultivating leads and sales. Conduct online advocacy and open stream for cross-promotions. Develop and expand community and/or blogger outreach efforts. Oversee and design in coordination with the Foras Graphic Designers (ie: Facebook Timeline cover, profile pic, thumbnails, ads, landing pages, etc.). Design, create and manage promotions and Facebook ad campaigns. Compile report for management showing results. Become an advocate for the Company in Social Media spaces, engaging in dialogues and answering questions where appropriate.

Demonstrate ability to map out marketing strategy and then drive that strategy proven by testing and metrics. Implement a proactive strategy for capturing customer online reviews. Monitor online ratings and respond accordingly. Monitor trends in Social Media tools, applications, channels, design and strategy. Identify threats and opportunities in user generated content surrounding the business, report to appropriate management. Analyze campaigns and translate anecdotal or qualitative data into recommendations and plans for revising the Social Media campaigns. Monitor effective benchmarks for measuring the impact of Social Media programs on Facebook and LinkedIn. Analyze, review, and report on effectiveness of campaigns in an effort to maximize results. Provide research support for potential opportunities for the Foras project to grow as a project both within and outside of Iraq. Write weekly inputs for the Foras generated weekly newspaper on the top newspaper articles in the MENA region. Write and develop strategies for more job seekers to use the Foras jobs portal and Facebook pages through the utilization of Google Analytics. Develop online surveys, polling and other tools to learn more about job seekers and employers in Iraq and the surrounding region. Liaise with the Management Information Systems team to help develop and support the online content for the Foras project. All other duties as assigned by the Communications Director or Chief of Party. Qualifications Possesses knowledge and experience in the tenets of traditional marketing. Marketing degree is welcomed but not required with relevant work experience. Demonstrates creativity and documented immersion in Social Media. Proficient in content marketing theory and application. Experience sourcing and managing content development and publishing. Exhibits the ability to jump from the creative side of marketing
to analytical side, able to demonstrate why their ideas are analytically sound. Displays in-depth knowledge and understanding of Social Media platforms and their respective participants (Facebook, Twitter, Yelp, Google+Local, YouTube, Instagram, Pinterest etc.) and how each platform can be deployed in different scenarios. At least 3-4 years of working previously with Social Media content development and implementation. Excellent English verbal and writing skills Candidate should be able to work under pressure and be self-organized. College/university studies are desired but not mandatory. Previous report writing skills are desirable. Ability to work in a team and communicate effectively with diverse cultural and professional staff members. Fluent in written and spoken English and Kurdish. Candidates must be able to live and work in Baghdad. Application Details
