received an error message, try to copy/paste into the text box below. If a problem with a quiz/test/exam/assignment, which one? Be sure to contact your instructor as well. DISCUSSION BOARD The Discussion Board materials will reflect chapter issues that are assigned and graded. Your participation in the Discussion Board is mandatory and points will be awarded for your performance. You are expected to post your work on time and to respond to others on the Discussion Board. The posting must be on time and must be appropriate to the problem assigned. There are a total of five (5) points per Discussion Board, which is a lot in the aggregate. If you only get 3, you are at 60% for that Discussion Board. Here are some tips on how to get 5s: 1. Have extensive, stimulating postings, not just a few sentences. 2. Discuss the health facts of the topic. 3. Have at least three (3) paragraphs of at least five (5) sentences per posting. 4. Get it in on time. Generally I do keep track of who gets the work in on time and, or, early. Grades recognize the effort so long as the work is of high caliber. Conversely, I wont award high-quality grades when the work is late. Hope this helps.

Discussion Board Grading Guidelines

Prepare the Discussion Board work in MS WORD or another word processor, and use the Spell Check and Grammar Check, then cut and paste it to the Discussion Board. Do not send it to me in email format. I only will accept it in the Discussion Board on Blackboard. Nobody wants to read lots of misspelled words or bad grammar on the Discussion Board. Class participation via the Discussion Board is a very important part of this course. You are expected to offer comments, questions and replies to the discussion question for each week, as well as provide substantive replies to your classmates. Your postings will be evaluated based on their quality: Does your posting indicate an understanding of the weeks topic? Does your posting stimulate discussion? Does your posting exhibit critical thinking and analysis? Does your posting include a discussion of the health facts of the topic?

If you dont post before the end of the week-long access period, it will be too late to post and you will have missed out on getting any possible points for that posting. I will not grade the Discussion Board more than once. Dont ask me to do so. Netiquette

It is expected that you will observe professional speech and adult interpersonal relations online as well as in class. Points will be taken off if you are rude, discourteous or use inappropriate language or obscenities.
COURSE MATERIALS NOTE: The course is structured so that the last three Discussion Boards must be completed before the last week of class. There will be a lot of work with multiple discussion boards and exams every week. This will give you a chance to finish on time with relative ease. Week One I am giving more time for this to allow for late adds. Chapter 1: Perspectives on Sexuality Review Power Point materials on Blackboard. Discussion Boards: Five different Discussion Boards.
