CESMM4 - supporting the construction industry for over 35 years

The Civil Engineering Standard Method of Measurement CESMM has been well established for over 35 years as the standard for the preparation of bills of quantities in civil engineering work. This much anticipated fourth edition, CESMM4, is the rst major overhaul since publication of CESMM3 in 1991. It brings the method into line with changes in industry practices and extends its usages into some new areas. The original concepts of standardised approach and item coverage remain as fundamental as they did when they were rst introduced in 1976. All of these principles remain unchanged. This edition has been updated to incorporate modern construction techniques and is now contract neutral in order to facilitate use across a variety of contract suites including with NEC, FIDIC and ICC. In addition to being contract neutral, reference to British Standards has been largely eliminated facilitating the use of CESMM4 on construction projects across the world.
