PRINCIPALS MESSAGE
It looks like Spring is FINALLY ready to make an appearance. The first few classes have visited Kwantlan Gardens and begun planting. Just as we look forward to the flowers making an appearance, at school we are looking forward to the children developing fully to complete the school year to the best of their ability. These last few weeks teachers have been busy assessing students learning and writing Report Cards which will be sent home with students this Friday. Wednesday and Thursday we hope every parent will take the time to meet with their child(ren)s teacher(s) to celebrate what is going well and put a plan of action in place for all other areas. In reading the Report cards, I do see that progress is being made and we need to acknowledge that to both ourselves and the children. We do also need to look at where the child is getting 1s and 2s and figure out how to improve in these areas. To assist you we have Homework Club after school every day with two SEAs and the Langley Disabilities Association has one-on-one after school tutoring right here in our school. Your child does not need to have a learning disability to attend and subsidies are available. Our self-regulation goal for the past two week has been being interested and curious. Please take some time during Spring Break to explore and discover and help your child answer some questions about whatever interests them.
