JUET Chemical Engineering Students Society was formed on 17th November, 2011 with the aim to create awareness amongst Chemical Engineering students and to give them immense exposure of various career options available in Chemical Engineering. Unleashing the dimensions of success is the underlying essence of JCESS. We aim to provide a platform to the students of Chemical Engineering to enhance their technical as well as soft skills by conducting activities. These activities urge the students to apply practical applications with the pinch of fun. This is in the form of quizzes, presentations and interactive sessions for the all round development of the students in all aspects.

JUET Chemical Engineering Students Society organized its first Departmental tech-Fest IONIZE 2k13-Energizing Minds with Creativity on 2nd and 3rd Feb 2013. The students and faculty memebers from all the departments were invited to participate in the various events that were organized by the team JCESS, that focused on problems around the world., providing an opportunity to introduce the practical solutions, giving them a chance to boost up their morale as well as to enhance their technical and managerial skills .With 10 technical events, the 2 day journey of IONIZE proved to be highly successful and received huge response from one and all.

An event where participation get a chance to design their own car that runs on chemical reaction energy. The participants will be guided throught the event, designing and finally running the car.

CHEM-E-CAR

Purify It Another practical event where students will make their own water purifier which doesnt use any electric source. It shall be practically applicable in real world scenario.

CLIMATE CHANGE CONFERENCE

One of the Mega Event is Student Climate Change Conference, which is based on norms and regulations of a UN Climate Change Conference. Students will choose different countries and will represent it as their delegate.

An online stock market simulation competition listing over 30 chemical sector companies share. Registring participants will be alloted a virtual amount on which the will trade 15 days before Ionize as per real market scenario.
