Communication is vital in our daily life and it is even more indispensable in the activity of a company, but here we talk

about a more effective type of communication usd for certain purposes of not only to transmit information from the Sender to the Receiver, but also to create a network where all the employees connect and interact afectively and practically. This is actually the opposite type of communication than the one practised in a Romanian game called wireless phone, in which there is one person that plays the role of the Sender and he transmits slowly and quickly something to the person next to him, more precisely to his ear, whose role becomes the one of the Sender, who communicates further the reproduction of the word/words that he has heard and so on. Finally, when the last participant of the game has to reproduce the message and confront it with the message delivered from the beggining, there will be rarely cases when the two messages match, because transmiting on message from ear to ear, some noises will intefere in the correct decodification. I chose to bring this example as i consider it is a proof of how the reproduction of a message can affect the meaning of it and can lead to various interpretation that may not have anything in common with the starting version. in this case, the message that came from Rick and actually the company and reached the temporary employees could not be measured in terms of understanding. The Sender does not know if his message was clear enough after the decoding process nor if the Receiver has a feedback after his interpretation. The barieer is to be formed in the illusion oh the phisical presence, the Sender has a strict message to transmit and he needs no bruise to divert him from the path. In my opninion, such a critical announcement demands a face-to-face communication, in order to start th conversation from equal positions, where no one gains power over the other. In the example given, the Receiver of the message has not any chance tp express his point of view, he may feel as an isolated, unuseful person and this may trigger th manifestation of the lack of confidence and could lead to a negative outcome. But, this can be seen as an efficient tool in the managing of urgent tasks if we think about big companies with a large amount of employees or with offices located in different parts of the world and where a personal notification it seems as a waste of time and money. This is a negative way of communication, as the unsatisfied layed-off employees are free to interpret Ricks choice as a proof of disrespect toward the work they submitted. Anyway, on the other side of the issue, these employees were in their probationary period so they might have expected to such a refusal. At its basis, communication is defined as an exchange of information, emotions, feelings, but in the case presented we are facing only one-way type of communication, when the Sender encodes the message and sends it virtually to the Receiver,

whose reaction is not taken into account. In this way, the Sender does not receive any feedback and the Receiver may experience feelings of frustration because of the blocked opportunity to express his position. My advice is that Rick to set a meeting where all the Receivers of his message to come and to be allowed to speak about this decision.
