8 started this project to fit my home7cockpit hardware. 6he commercial alternati+es are +ery e9pensi+e, their price tag is prohibiti+e regarding the money 8 want to spend on a "% hobby. ll commands can be interfaced with hardware through "%28PC. 6he %oftware can be interfaced with the following hardware (non e9hausti+e list) 4penCockpits 84cards, "light .eck %olutions (including "C2 $lare3 and #C.2), CP"light ("C2 / 3"8% / $lare 0ings), CockpitPassion, %kalarki 8/4, Cockpit%onic. Check the manufacturer guide, and also the :ardware #odule folder after installation.

3. Installation
3.1. Installer
%ince /22 +ersion, the software has an installer application. A0oid installin, in a &older su-/ as C+,-rogram files J 8t is recommended to keep the default path - C-L 32!"#$% . 6he installer will ask which components to install. 8nstall only the components you need on that computer. .o not forget to select the hardware modules if you use them. 8f you&re a beginner with this software, you may select all software componentsM /ut onl' install the "#$% %er+er on the FS Co*+uterJ

8f you use se+eral computers, you& ll need to run the installer on each of them. %elect only the re5uired components. 4nce the installer has copied all the files, you&ll see this important window pop7up-
8f this is the computer where "% is running, the bo9 at the top of the window should be automatically checked. 8f this is a remote computer, the bo9 is unchecked, and is re5uired to fill in the 8P address of the %er+er computer (where "% runs). "/is is a 0er' i*+ortant ste+J .o not modify the default ports, unless you need to (port routing...). Clicking on the <.efault +alues= button will reset to default settings. Clicking <.one= will finish the installation. Dea+e the F %etup Ioysticks G bo9 checked, particularly if you&re a beginner. 8t will automatically launch the joystick and a9is calibration window for you. ?ou can still access this configuration application called F "#$%NConfig.e9e G in "#$% %er+er folder.

"o -ali(rate an a7is= click in the corresponding white bo9, then mo+e the joystick a9is you want to configure until it is detected.. window pops up to allow calibration- you ha+e to mode the a9is to the ma9/min/middle position and click on the button corresponding to the position the a9is is in.

6he cursor indicates the current position of the a9is and the blue area is the neutral Kone, in which the a9is has no effect. .o not hesitate to fill in relati+ely big neutral Kones (around 2!!! to ;!!! is usually 4O for regular joysticks) 8D3R41% is the roll a9is, 3D3B 64R% is the pitch a9is, R2..3R is the yaw a9is, 68DD3R is the nose wheel steering a9is. D3"6 /RO et R8$:6 /RO are the differential braking a9is. CP6 is for Captain side, "4 for "irst 4fficer side. %e,ardin, t/e "/rust Fe0ers (6:R DBR H ' 2 for engine H ' 2), click on 6:R DBRH - left down area of the application becomes acti+e, allows you, depending on your setup, to configure a single a9is for both le+ers or one a9is for each le+er. 6uning the course of the De+ers Put your le+er at the ma9imum thrust position, select 64$ in the list. Put an error of about H!!! then click the <%et= button. #o+e now your le+er to what would be your "D@/#C6 position (not too far from 64$ , but 5uite more than the error you put abo+e). %elect "#@/#C6 in the list, put an error of H!!! to 3!!!, click <%et=. Repeat for each detent.. !ote t/at i& 'ou lea0e an error o& 0 or a too s*all 0alue= 'ou *a' not (e a(le to sele-t t/e +ro+er detents= and it $ill /a0e e&&e-ts on t/e &li,/t /andlin,J Fine tune a&ter trials to ,et t/e (est 0alues 'ou need &or error around ea-/ detents. Clicking on F %a+e Controls Configuration G will sa+e the settings you&+e applied already. 8t is a good idea to sa+e regularly your work when configuring. S? Jo'sti-; Buttons G you can also use joystick buttons to operate almost any switches/buttons of the cockpit. Click on <Ioystick /uttons= button, a new window appears (see ne9t picture).

Push a joystick button, it&s joystick number and button number will appear. 8n the list to the right, select the function you want to assign. ?ou can setup the button as a toggle button (action only when pushed in), or a button with separate action for push and release. ?ou can also in+ert the action (4n when released, 4"" when pushed). "#$% installs the re5uired flight model during installation (see c a!ter 2.-). 4nly ad+anced user should change the model and/or the P/"/0 coefficients. 8f you should encounter difficulties while running the "/0 in manual flight, check the option Sdisa(le FBWS. ?ou will lose all "/0 features, and the aircraft will apply joystick position directly to the flight go+erns.
