8 started this project to fit my home7cockpit hardware. 6he commercial alternati+es are +ery e9pensi+e, their price tag is prohibiti+e regarding the money 8 want to spend on a "% hobby. ll commands can be interfaced with hardware through "%28PC. 6he %oftware can be interfaced with the following hardware (non e9hausti+e list) 4penCockpits 84cards, "light .eck %olutions (including "C2 $lare3 and #C.2), CP"light ("C2 / 3"8% / $lare 0ings), CockpitPassion, %kalarki 8/4, Cockpit%onic. 2.1. Compatible Operating Systems
?ou need a PC with #%* 0indows running. 8t has been tested successfully with @P(32bits) and %e+en (A;bits), it should work with Bista and 0indows C, and won&t work on any other 4% such as Dinu9, 4%@, ...

2.2. Interface to Microsoft Flight Simulator

Fli,/t Si*ulator 2004 <FSC>G the communication with "light %imulator is based on Peter .owson&s "%28PC module (please always use the latest one) for "%E FSH / ?31G the communication with "light %imulator is based on F %imConnect G (you do not need any third party software). 1ote for "%@- you need both %er+ice Packs H'2 for "%@ (or F "%@ cceleration G).

2.3. Na !ata "

/efore launching installation, you should install the na+igation database (na+data) Caution G current +ersion of Iee:ell0are 32! "#$% /32 does ! 1a+igraph De+el7. JAJ na+data. lon,er use

"#$% is installed, you should get a file named F na+record.dat G, which siKe is around AA#/, in CGIA320FMGSI!a0data1 and CGIA320FMGSI!a0data2 folder. 8f not, you&ll ha+e to look for that file in the path where 1a+.ataPro installed it, and

2.#. Flight Simulator $32% Flight Mo&el

6his software uses proprietary autopilot and "/0 systems. 6hey are only tuned to the specially modded i".$ 32! package pro+ided with the software ("%E or "%@ +ersion depending on your system). .uring installation, you&ll ha+e to select thr correct model, "%E or "%@, according to the "% +ersion you run. 6he default, 32H model of "%@, and third party addons, are not -o*+ati(le $it/ JeeHell$are A320 FMGS.

2.'. If an ol&er ersion is alrea&y installe&

Prior to /22 +ersion, there was no installer, and no traces in 0indows registry. ?ou can simply delete the "#$% folder and files. %ince /22 +ersion, you can uninstall using the uninstaller wiKard in "#$% folder. ?ou can also uninstall from 0indows Configuration Panel. ?ou can keep the configuration files between each +ersions.

2.(. One or more Computers)

Iee:ell0are 32! "#$% can be installed on a single computer where "% E/@ runs. %uch a setup is useful to test the software and get to know it. /ut you&ll find yourself 5uickly limited by performance... ?ou&ll also ha+e issues with multiple screens etc... wand won&t ha+e the greatest e9perience possible. Iee:ell0are 32! "#$% is designed to work on home network suing a ser+er/client architecture. 6he %er+er, along with P/"/0 and a few other software, must be installed on "% computer. 6he other <satellite= applications (P"., 1., #C.2, 4+erhead, 30., %., %6/? irspeed 8ndicator, %6/? ltimeter ("6 and metre), %6/? :oriKon, ..R#8, Clock, 8%8%, 6riple /rakes 8ndicator), can be installed on remote computers linked by your network.

6hanks to Christoph Paulus, the "#$% software comes with two fonts replicating the irbus style. 6he AirbusFMGSMCDU.ttf is dedicated to the #C.2 while AirbusFMGSScreens.ttf can be used for all other .2&s (P"., 1., 3/0. and %.) 6hese fonts were kindly <donated= to my project, but remain the intellectual property of Christoph. .o not redistribute them without his consent. ?ou can contact him through his web site www.dalpi.de. 6he fonts will be installed automatically by the installer. 3.1. Installer
%ince /22 +ersion, the software has an installer application. A0oid installin, in a &older su-/ as C+,-rogram files J 8t is recommended to keep the default path - C-L 32!"#$% . 6he installer will ask which components to install. 8nstall only the components you need on that computer. .o not forget to select the hardware modules if you use them. 8f you&re a beginner with this software, you may select all software componentsM /ut onl' install the "#$% %er+er on the FS Co*+uterJ

8f you use se+eral computers, you& ll need to run the installer on each of them. %elect only the re5uired components. 4nce the installer has copied all the files, you&ll see this important window pop7up-

8f this is the computer where "% is running, the bo9 at the top of the window should be automatically checked. 8f this is a remote computer, the bo9 is unchecked, and is re5uired to fill in the 8P address of the %er+er computer (where "% runs). "/is is a 0er' i*+ortant ste+J .o not modify the default ports, unless you need to (port routing...). Clicking on the <.efault +alues= button will reset to default settings. Clicking <.one= will finish the installation. Dea+e the F %etup Ioysticks G bo9 checked, particularly if you&re a beginner. 8t will automatically launch the joystick and a9is calibration window for you. ?ou can still access this configuration application called F "#$%NConfig.e9e G in "#$% %er+er folder.

6he cursor indicates the current position of the a9is and the blue area is the neutral Kone, in which the a9is has no effect. .o not hesitate to fill in relati+ely big neutral Kones (around 2!!! to ;!!! is usually 4O for regular joysticks) 8D3R41% is the roll a9is, 3D3B 64R% is the pitch a9is, R2..3R is the yaw a9is, 68DD3R is the nose wheel steering a9is. D3"6 /RO et R8$:6 /RO are the differential braking a9is. CP6 is for Captain side, "4 for "irst 4fficer side. %e,ardin, t/e "/rust Fe0ers (6:R DBR H ' 2 for engine H ' 2), click on 6:R DBRH - left down area of the application becomes acti+e, allows you, depending on your setup, to configure a single a9is for both le+ers or one a9is for each le+er. 6uning the course of the De+ers Put your le+er at the ma9imum thrust position, select 64$ in the list. Put an error of about H!!! then click the <%et= button. #o+e now your le+er to what would be your "D@/#C6 position (not too far from 64$ , but 5uite more than the error you put abo+e). %elect "#@/#C6 in the list, put an error of H!!! to 3!!!, click <%et=. Jo'sti-; Buttons G you can also use joystick buttons to operate almost any switches/buttons of the cockpit. Click on <Ioystick /uttons= button, a new window appears (see ne9t picture).

Push a joystick button, it&s joystick number and button number will appear. 8n the list to the right, select the function you want to assign. ?ou can setup the button as a toggle button (action only when pushed in), or a button with separate action for push and release. ?ou can also in+ert the action (4n when released, 4"" when pushed). 4. Startin, t/e so&t$are

#.1. Starter
"/e L Starter M is a little application configured by the installer on each computer and named Starter.exe. 0hen you launch (or close) it, it will run (or close) all the software needed ("#$% %er+er, P/"/0, P"., etc...). 6he software can still be launched manually, but the starter is the recommended way of doing it. I*+ortant note on se-urit' so&t$are G %ome of the software included in 32!"#$% may be blocked or deleted by security software such as anti7+irus or firewall applications. %e+eral users reported issues with +ast. 6he best way to deal with it is to configure your security software to allow the use of my applications. !otes on !a01ata G 8t is necessary (at least once after installation ) to run A320 FMGS (e&ore Fli,/t Si*ulator. 6he little application F "#$%N1a+.ata G will browse the "% scenery files to build it&s own data base. Det it run until it minimiKes itself to the tray, then runb "%.

#.2. 8p&ates "

6he starter will automatically launch an update tool which checks online if a new update is a+ailable. <2pdater.e9e= may trigger firewall alarms (see no abo+e on security software). "ollow the instructions of the application to download the new +ersion if a+ailable. !oteG if you installed the software on more than one computer, you need to run the update on ea-/ computer of your network. 4therwise, you may get errors while running the software.

#o+e the screens/instruments by F drag ' drop G- click on the software, mo+e around, then release mouse button. 2sing the right click menu (picture below) #ake sure F :ide border Gis not checked. ?ou can now resiKe as any regular window. ?ou may check it again to hide the border line. Click Rotate (counter)clockwise to rotate the display by R/7E!S ("C2, 3"8% et 4+erhead cannot be rotated). F lways on top G will make sure the instrument is always in the foreground. F Dock position G will make sure you cannot accidentally mo+e the window around. Click on F %a+e %ettings G e+ery time you make a change (position,siKe,etc) to sa+e for ne9t time. F %et G llows you to set the le+el of nti7 liasing. ;@ seems a good +alue.

0hen you sa+e the settings, they are stored in a file called F @@@.ini G, where @@@ is the instrument name. .elete that file to restore <manufacture= settings.

"#$% installs the re5uired flight model during installation (see c a!ter 2.-). 4nly ad+anced user should change the model and/or the P/"/0 coefficients. 8f you should encounter difficulties while running the "/0 in manual flight, check the option Sdisa(le FBWS. ?ou will lose all "/0 features, and the aircraft will apply joystick position directly to the flight go+erns.
