Our School

The City of Knowledge is focused on combining excellent education with Islamic teachings in a unique learning and interacting environment. Under the supervision of an education committee led by experienced teachers in the state of Georgia as well as professors from Emory University and Georgia Tech, all resources are used to make sure that The City of Knowledge provides an education level at a comparable, or even higher, level than the best private schools in the state of Georgia. The education curriculum is comparable to those of the best private schools in Georgia. The Islamic and cultural education will be supervised by local Islamic educators who have more than 20 years of experience.

Montessori Primary
Our Montessori Primary curriculum is characterized by an emphasis on independence, freedom within limits, and respect for a childs natural psychological development. We offer a mixed aged classroom (3 yrs - 6 yrs), student choice of activities within a prescribed range of options, uninterrupted blocks of work time, a constructivist or discovery model, where students learn concepts from working with materials, rather than by direct instructions. Our specialized classroom materials help develop the senses, Math skills and awareness, cultural appreciation, English language acquisition and development, and care of self, others and the environment. Our Montessori Pre-K class is licensed through Bright the Start (BFTS), the Georgia Department of Early Care and Learning. Our Montessori curriculum aligns with Georgia Content Standards set by BFTS and reflects the most current educational research for successful preschool programs.
