I have witnessed parents getting more involved in their childs learning. Its not that young people dont want to be involved, its that they dont now how. ! student told me that he now has something to tal to his "ad about. I guarantee that once you start using Project Citizen you will ma e it a priority in your curriculum. #he bene$its o$ civic education, especially Project Citizen, go well beyond the classroom. I li e the way Project Citizen combines student selected and driven topics, writing objectives, and real li$e application o$ social studies content. Project Citizen is an e%cellent way to have inmates become more positive. &or once they $eel li e part o$ the system and process o$ government. It was an amazing e%perience' (%cellent learning opportunity ) *+*' I had the opportunity to observe the Project Citizen ,howcase at the ,tate Capitol and it was !*(,+-(' I remember Project Citizen and how important it made me $eel. I am luc y to have e%perienced learning that re.uired me to thin and analyze. /$ormer student0 ,o $ar, this project has been the most e%citing teaching endeavor that I have ever encountered.
