GENERAL INFORMATION 1.1 This is the inaugural Asian University Climbing Championships endorsed by the Asian University Sports Federation (AUSF). This event, organized by the National University of Singapore (NUS) and supported by the Singapore Mountaineering Federation, will be held from 1st to 7th July 2014 in Singapore. 1.2 Besides providing a platform for healthy competition, this championship aims to promote interaction and understanding among university athletes in Asia. The championship also hopes to be an event where regional university athletes could exchange experiences and learn more about each others diverse cultures. 1.3 The championship will consist of the following: Mens lead climbing Mens bouldering Womens lead climbing Womens bouldering

REGISTRATION 3.1 Each university may register a maximum of 3 competitors for each discipline and gender. 3.2 For this championship, each participating university must present a maximum of twelve (12) competitors and five (5) officials.
*all players must be registered students of the same university.

3.3 To participate, interested universities must complete the General Entry Form and email it to aucc@nus.edu.sg no later than 15 March 2014, for planning purposes of the Organizing Committee (OC). 3.4 In the event of overwhelming response, the OC reserves the right to limit participation to two (2) men and two (2) women teams per country based on recommendation by respective countries National University Sports Federation or equivalent. Hence, all teams are advised not to incur expenses for this championship until your participation has been confirmed by the OC. 4 FINANCE AND INSURANCE 4.1 The registration fee (non-refundable) for each referee, official or athlete is USD300 inclusive of USD10 AUSF fee. AUSF fee for non-members is USD20. The registration fee will cover the following: a. b. c. d. e. f. 4.2 Upon confirmation from the OC, participants must make full payment by 1 May 2014.
*Payment details will be sent out in once teams are confirmed by end March.

4.3 Each delegation must have insurance for all its members. This must cover life insurance, medical insurance, public liability, property and travel insurance. The original document stating the participants insurance coverage must be presented at the Preliminary Inquiry Meeting. 4.4 Where necessary, the OC shall contract at its own cost an appropriate medical insurance for all accredited persons covering illness and injury risks relating to and during the event.

VISA/ENTRY PERMITS All participants are kindly requested to contact the Singapore Embassy / High Commission or Consulate in their respective countries for visa / entry permit requirements. VISA will be at the teams own costs.

COMPETITION VENUE The competition venue is located at the Rock Wall at Stephen Riady Centre, University Town (Lead) and Funan Digitalife Mall (Bouldering).

ACCOMMODATION 7.1 Both officials and athletes will be staying in single rooms at our student hostels on campus (University Town). These are conveniently located close to the competition venue (lead). Transport will be arranged to the bouldering venue. 7.2 These rooms are air-conditioned and each single room is equipped with a single bed, a writing desk, a task chair, a bookshelf, a wardrobe and a mobile pedestal. 7.3 As student hostels, there is no room service. All officials and athletes are advised to bring their own toiletries and towels. The common bathroom facilities come with instant water heating. Coin-operated laundry and drying machines are available for use.
