Why Our Childrens Scholarship Fund?

Each year, the JCC offers families in need some $300,000 in scholarships. These enable economically disadvantaged families to send children to camp, our award-winning preschool, and to enjoy arts and culture programs. Primarily, one might think of our scholarship program as an important method of leveling the playing field, so that regardless of income, children of financially deprived families can still access high quality education and camps that otherwise they would be excluded from. Thus, the JCC scholarship program provides a critical means of inclusion that encourages diversity, achievement and social interaction that transcends demographic barriers. Please note that scholarship needs are assessed through an off-site service to ensure complete objectivity that guarantees that the only criteria evaluated is economic need.
