A LIFE OF TRUST AND PRAISE Acts 13:22 But God removed him from the kingship and replaced

him with David, a man about whom God said, 'David son of Jesse is a man after my own heart, for he will do everything I want him to.' NLT Todays scripture tells us that David was a man after Gods heart because he did everything God wanted him to do. He pleased God by trusting Him absolutely just as the bible says that without faith no one can please Him. He didnt stop there, every moment of his life were moments of thanksgiving and praise the book of psalms validates this fact and we understand from the bible that God inhabits the praise of his people. Davids trust in God can be seen in his victory over Goliath. Goliath had so much confidence in his strength and size that he boasted in it. David was just anointed, knew little about God was not a match physically but he cared less about the obstacles facing him and casted his focus on the greatness of Gods power, trusting it completely and earned the victory with utmost ease. In times of trouble David did not bother looking elsewhere for help. He sought Gods help and God helped him. For you to seek Gods help you must come to a self-realization that you cannot help yourself and thats exactly what David did and God came into his situation. Through absolute trust in God David was prudent in dealings and a strategic leader because the bible says that trust in the Lord and he shall direct your path. This denotes that the consequence for trusting in God is directions for your everyday life and you will be able to live to the fullest of Gods plan for your life. There is nothing God enjoys than praise and David never lacked in this area. Time and time again David praised God for all the things he had done right from the very beginning to where he was. Even in times of trials and tribulations David still thanked God which caused God to move in unusual ways. Note that praise is a form of trust in God or a proof of ones trust in God. In Phil 4:6, it says, Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God NKJV; thanksgiving there means that you are appreciating God for answering/giving you what you were asking for which connotes absolute trust that he has done it. David was a kingdom ambassador and we are all kingdom ambassadors. Emulating the life of trust and praise of David will thoroughly help us as Christs representatives here on earth because we will be pleasing God and through us God will wrath signs and wonders that would bring more souls into the His kingdom.
