Maundy Thursday Passover Supper

17th April, 7.30pm, venue tbc Come and join in our Passover Supper to recall Jesus' last supper with his disciples. We will share a Passover Meal together, learning, as we go, why the meal is significant, why Jesus celebrated it, and how it remains a key symbolic meal for us as Christians now. This is a church family event, so there are lots of preparations you can help with: both food and equipment. Do check the list on the welcome desk and sign up there or email Donna or the church office

Mothering Sunday Special Service

Next week is our special Mothering Sunday service. Mothering Sunday comes from the caring and nurturing nature of the Church. We will be celebrating the role of mothers and all women with the opportunity to reflect on the story of the "widows offering" through arts, drama, reflection, talk or discussion. We will, of course, end with ladies receiving a bunch of flowers. We do hope that you can join us (and feel free to bring someone with you!).

Lent Reflection
Each week Donna will be writing a reflection to help us in our journey towards Easter. This period of Lent helps us consider our faith and helps us to reflect on Jesus. Donna's first Lenten reflection is called "at my wits' end' and can be found on the website here: http://bit.ly/1kEsXxD

AGM etc etc

Our Springfield AGM will be on the 27th April this year. As others stand down after three years, there will be vacancies for our PCC and the Deanery Synod. Please do prayerfully consider whether you could serve in this important role in the life of the church. ~~~~~~ If you are 16 or older, you can also join the electoral roll at any time after attending for 6 months, which entitles you to vote at the AGM and stand for the PCC: it is the official measure of membership by the Church of England ~~~~~~ We are also reprinting our family list, so its a great opportunity to add your details, check those we already have and add any amendments ~~~~~~ All the forms and paperwork for these will be available in the foyer on 6th April

Please pray for: Lorna Whalley who is being investigated for possible cancer in her spine. Pray that God would protect her. Pray for Alison Cooper who recently underwent surgery. Pray that her continuing treatment would eradicate all traces of cancer. All the children and parents at Foresters School as Rosie, Sue and the team join them for their Easter fun event. Give thanks that Rosanna is now out of hospital again and doing well Steven is due out of hospital on Monday. Please continue to pray for his recovery
