MATLAMAT (GOALS) :
To help students acquire knowledge and understanding of practices, principles and equipments used in civil
engineering construction.
SINOPSIS (SYNOPSIS) :
The construction industry is continually adopting new and improves technologies for increasing productivity
and quality to meet present and future needs of human kind. Construction engineering addresses the needs of
improving the technology through application of fundamental of science and engineering. This course
introduces students to identify various types of construction components, issues and method to lay a solid
foundation in all areas of construction engineering. Scopes of study are building sub-structure, super structure,
formwork, handling concrete and utilities scope of works.
HASIL PEMBELAJARAN (LEARNING OUTCOMES) :
Upon completion of the course, students will be able to:
1. Produce construction sequence procedure according to construction stage and building components.
(LO1 C3)
2. Produce method of construction stage with complete sketch or drawing and details work of sequence
similar with industry requirement. (LO3 P3)
3. Select the most effective method for certain types of construction by adopting new or improves
technologies. (LO7 A2)

PROJEK (PROJECT) :
Sila rujuk format
pelaksanaan PBL
Students are required to prepare a project in a group (maximum of five students in a group) based on
PBL. Final assessment will be done based on full report and group presentation which schedule to be
held on the 12-14 week of the semester. The assessment was based on the Projects Rubric developed by
The Faculty of Civil and environmental Engineering, UTHM. Please refer PBL format
