Baby's Crocheted Unicorn


Materials

Caron International Simply Soft: 3 oz. Off White (9702), 1-1/2 oz. Orchid (9717), 1 oz. Soft Blue (9712) Polyester fiberfill Safety eyes (or buttons), two
Tools

Crochet hook, US G-6 Stitch marker Latch hook (optional) Yarn needle
Directions

Baby's Crocheted Unicorn

Size 1. Size is 13" tall, including horn. Gauge 1. Gauge is not critical for this project. However, work tightly so that stuffing will not show through stitches. Special Stitches 1. sc2tog: Single crochet 2 together[Insert hook in next stitch and draw up a loop] twice, yarn over and draw through all 3 loops on hook. Note 1. Pieces are worked in continuous rounds with RS facing throughout; do not join and do not turn at end of rounds. Place stitch

Note: Use crochet hook or latch hook (optional) to attach strands for mane and tail. 2. Mane: Cut 10 lengths of C. Holding two strands together, fold in half. Attach strands on mane base, as follows: Insert hook from RS to WS and back to RS around any free loop of mane base. Insert hook into folded strand, draw fold through stitch to form loop; draw ends of folded yarn through loop and draw tight. Trim mane. 3. Tail: Cut 15 lengths of B. Holding three strands together, fold in half. Attach strands on tail base, as follows: insert hook from RS to WS and back to RS around any free loop of tail base. Insert hook into folded strands, draw fold through stitch to form loop, draw ends of folded yarn through loop and draw tight. Trim tail. Sew neck to body; stuff firmly. Sew head to neck.
