not taught at all in schools universally or business schools,
until 1990s --------and then only in some pioneering
institutions .Why was this? Like other fields, Quality &
Merchandising Management has its gurus, as well as a
foundation of theory cuts across the traditional divisions
within educational institutions; education was slow to
recognize this existence. Merchandising has become accepted
and credible only because a Quality & Merchandising
