Consolidation SAP's consolidation supports both legal consolidation (legal independent entities) and management consolidation (profit centers

or business centers), with the new G/L you can easily underta e company consolidation or profit center consolidation, without any additional setup as the new G/L already contains the fields re!uired for consolidation (trading partner, partner profit center and consolidation transaction type), you do not need any consolidation staging ledger for company consolidation which you do for classic G/L accounting" #e will need to customi$e the below settings

General specifications %ransaction types &ompany consolidation

General Settings #e start with the general specifications which include preparing the chart of accounts related settings and the creation and assignment of transactions types for consolidation, besides the settings re!uired transferring the G/L data, lets assign the scenarios and customer fields to ledgers we use the transaction code FAGL_SCENARIO_ASS, we configured this already in 'inancial Global Settings and &ompany &ode Parameters

%he datadis mobility company use &A(S as the operational chart of accounts and &)*S as the group chart of accounts, for consolidation we need to lin these charts for correct +alue flow, the first tas in connecting the accounts in operational and group of charts of accounts is to ensure that a group chart of accounts is a+ailable in the chart of accounts list, ma e sure that the group chart of accounts in the chart of accounts list is created using transaction code OB13 (see 'inancial Global Settings and &ompany &ode Parameters), ne,t we assign the account groups to the group chart of accounts using transaction code OBD4 (see screenshot below) ,

*ow we assign the the group chart of accounts to the charts of accounts, you need to do this for all the charts of accounts --G. and --/P, we use transaction code OB13,

*ow we need to assign the group charts account numbers to the operational charts account numbers (this can be done automatically or manually), ma e sure that the you ha+e created the financial statement +ersion for the group chart, which should ha+e happened when you created that chart of accounts, if you want to create the account automatically use transaction code OCCC or you can manually assign group accounts to operational accounts use transaction FSP0,

ransa!tion "#es %he transaction types help you in hori$ontal de+elopment of balance sheets (opening balance, additions, reductions and closing balance), you can create special transaction types to differentiate the consolidation transactions from others, you can +alidate account assignment automatically or manually, we will use transaction code OC0$, 0f you ha+e performed the following then you need to assign the asset transaction types using transaction code OCBO, if you ha+e not don the below then you can s ip this step

-efine your own asset transaction types or changed the standard ones in '01AA -efine any new consolidation transaction types or changed the standard ones

*e,t we set the transaction types as a re!uired entry using transaction code OBC4,

*ow we define the +alidation for account/transaction type using transaction code OB%$, for more information on +alidation see the document section

Co&#an" Consolidation %o consolidate the financial statements of all the legal entities of a company you need to ma e the company assignment in the master data, as well as maintain the settings for parallel +aluation (we did this in 'inancial Global Settings and &ompany &ode Parameters)" inter1company elimination is a tas when you prepare data consolidation as you need to s!uare off the payables and recei+ables between the participating companies in consolidation, you can do this in two ways 2" &reate the groups company codes as +endors and customers and assign the company 0in the master record (trading partner under the account control in the control tab), for e,ample you can create a +endor and customer for company code --22 and assign the company 0- --2333 in the trading partner field, this would be the same for other company codes, during the posting of group1internal transactions the SAP system uses this company 0- from these master records and assigns the company code as the trading partner thereby eliminating the recei+able with payables and +ice +ersa 4" &reate specific G/L accounts instead of +endor and customer master records and enter the company 0- in these G/L accounts, this way elimination happens through the inter1 company transfer postings, we ha+e already created these G/L accounts (256322 1 payables --22, 256324 1 payables --24, etc, see G/L accounting), see screenshot below

Lastly we need to maintain the document types for transaction posting using transaction code OBA',

inter(!o&#an" #ostgs 1 allow inter1company business transactions enter trading #artner 1 allow users to input trading partner manually, this normally should be transferred from the master data
