Town Board Moments


1. Citizen Concerns a. Mr. Ferguson reported that the Oxbow Fire Dept. purchased a used pumper truck and also obtained rescue tools. Reported the men are training to use the tools. 2. Communications: a. Letter addressed to the Highway dept. informing of upcoming classes for municipal workers provided through Cornell Cooperative extension. 3. New Cemetery Things are getting finalized to prepare for selling of lots. The Board will be finalizing the rules and regulations later this month. 4. Town Hall Building Repairs- Mr. Mitchell presented a list of repairs that should be looked into. It was decided to contact Aubertine and Currier in Watertown and have an engineer come out and look the building over and give recommendations for the project. 5. Mr. Shaw reported on the meeting with the Library Board. Mr. Cooper suggested we get lights outside the library entrance repaired. 6. Mr. Shaw inquired about the installing of the cutoff switch for the fuel pump. The switch just arrived and will be installed.

Next Town Board meeting TH will be on April 14 , 2014 @ Town Hall @ 7PM.

Village Board Moments 1.Citizen Concerns Resident questioned why his recyclables were not picked up. It will be checked out. 2. DPW Report- Not present, nothing major to report. 3. SEWER PROJECT REPORT: RBC #2 has been delivered and work is currently underway to get it on line. The Village is still in talks with Senator Schumers office regarding RD grant funding. We have also reached out to Congressman Owens for his assistance in this matter. NYSEFC and NYSDEC are currently reviewing the engineering report for the additional project scope. 4. The Board thanked Tr. DeSantis and William McKissick for volunteering their time to repair the sagging floor at the Village Hall. Tr. DeSantis presented the Board with a tentative plan to update the bathrooms and a brief discussion was held regarding plans for repairs to the entire building.

Hello Antwerp. Well, I see it is slowly warming up. I am sure that when we finally are ready for spring , we will have lots of cleaning to do in our yards of the harsh winter we had.
