Except the LORD build the house, they labour in vain that build it: except the LORD keep the city, the watchman waketh but in vain. Psalm 127:1
Many times believers choose to live as if they do not have God. It is so painful to God that His children fall into the same ditch unbelievers fall into when we have the advantage of the Holy Spirit. A few years back when the global stock market came crashing, it was so painful to see Christians get caught in the thick of it. They had played games like the world, they had followed the worlds system of investment. Many even stopped tithing in order to buy shares and of course when the crash came, they also came down like the world. Child of God, this should not be the case. Dont enter into any venture without God. No matter how profitable they tell you it is, stop and sincerely seek Gods face concerning it. I am not talking about a 5 second prayer where your mind is made up of what you want; you just want Gods validation. No, lay the cards on the table, seek the mind of God and let Him direct you. In Acts 27, we read the story of Pauls voyage. Just when they were about to take off, Paul told them what h e perceived in the spirit. Paul was walking by faith, he was not the captain but there was something in him that others did not know. Paul admonished, lets not take off because this journey is going to be problematic, not only of the ship but also our lives. So, lets not take off. But because everything was cool and nothing showed that there was going to be problem, those people rejected Pauls warning and decided to go by sight. Now note these, number one, these people based their judgment on professional advice. The master and the captain said they were going to go, look at verse 11, Nevertheless the centurion believed the master and the owner of the ship The soldier who took Paul, the Centurion believed professional advice rather than what Paul advice. Now Brother Mike, is it wrong to take professional advice? No! It is not but professional advice must line up with Gods word. When professional advice contradicts the word of God, you must take it with a pinch of salt. God sees the end from the beginning, His word is reliable and dependable. You can stake your life on His word and know that you cannot miss it. Today I declare your spirit open to receive the counsel of God and your heart willing to obey in Jesus name. Now mine eyes shall be open, and mine ears attent unto the prayers that is made in this place - 2 Chron 7: 15
ANYTHING IS POSSIBLE
It is my joy to come your way this week as we all prepare to enter into October our month of Fasting and Prayers. I have prayed and I have an assurance in my heart that this years fasting and prayers with the theme: Uproot will deliver to you all that Heaven has in stock for you. Without any shadow of doubt in my heart, I know that the Lord is ready to hear and answer every request, prayer and supplication that will be made unto Him in this place. For every living TREMite at home and in the Diaspora, I encourage you to get ready because anything is possible during this month of prayers. Beloved, first and foremost, you must make up your mind that this years fast would not be business as usual. Dont come as a spectator. You must approach it with the seriousness it deserves because it is not another religious exercise; but rather, it is a time out with God. You cannot therefore afford to sit by and watch others agonize in the place of prayers. In Mark 14: 37 -40 we are told that Jesus went to Gethsemane because He had a burden, but unfortunately, His disciples did not share that burden with him, little wonder they ran away when crisis came. That will not be your portion in Jesus name. I declare that as you fast and pray this year mountains will bow before you. Every issue that has hitherto defied human solutions will bow before you in Jesus name. You will come out victorious. Secondly, during this fast you must ensure you come before God in prayers by faith. Hebrews 4:6 says that for without faith it is impossible to please God for He that cometh to Him must first believe that He is and a rewarder of those that diligently seek after him. {KJV} Did you see that? I know that certain things may not have worked out for you in time past, but beloved this time around you must become resilient and refuse to quit until you receive your answers. You must believe God for who He says He is. He is in a class by Himself. This time around, dare to walk out on doubt and unbelief and switch into the dimension of possibilities. The dimension of possibilities is the realm of faith. Anything is possible to him who believes, not to him who doubts. In other words, as you pray, dare to believe God for that impossible situation even when it seems foolish to do so. Dont forg et that He is a rewarder of those that diligently seek Him. You will not miss out in Jesus name. In addition, when it is time for prayers, do not be pretentious. If you must experience a change in your situation and also get answers from God, then be real. Dont pray hypocritical prayers. Beloved, if you cannot open up to God, then the question is who can you open up to? Dont forget that He already knows what you want to ask ever before you thought of it, so come clean. I am not talking about complaining, but you need to say it just as it is, because He is your Helper. In 1 Chronicles 4: 9, we are told of the story of Jabez a man whose name meant sorrow. This was a man who was acquainted with sorrow and grief everywhere he went. Beloved, his situation was turned around for good only when he became real with himself. Jabez realized that it was only God who could change his situation, so he called upon the God of Heaven to bless him. Beloved, Jabez took responsibility for his own life and was very specific in his request. Take a look at verse 10 of I Chronicles 4. It says and Jabez called upon the God of Israel, saying Oh that thou wouldest bless me indeed and enlarge my coast, and that your Hand might be with me and that you would keep me from evil that it may not pain me. Child of God, we are told that God granted him his request. He got the type of blessing that rubbished all the pain and sorrow he had ever gone through in life. My prayer for you is that even before the end of the fasting and prayers, God will turn your situation around and fill your mouth with testimonies. As I close this article, let me remind you that there will be a combined Service on Tuesday the 1 st of October, 2013 by 9.00am to officially declare this years fasting and pr ayers open. You cannot afford to miss it. It is a Public Holiday, so I encourage you to come with your family, friends and neighbours. As for those in the Headquarters, be reminded that there will be morning and evening prayer sessions in the church daily except for Saturdays. I challenge you to take advantage of these prayer sessions and really pray until something happens in your life. I am a firm believer that, as we come together to pray and make declarations under this corporate anointing, whatever the Father has not planted in your life will be uprooted in Jesus name. This week, I declare that the Lord will turn around your captivity and make impossible situations in your life possible. You will not be denied. I bless you. Maranatha!
Dearly beloved, I bring you greetings in the name that is above every other name, Jesus Christ the Son of the Living God and our soon coming King. As we climax the age you would begin to observe that the love for self would gradually increase to the extent that people would slow down in their commitment to the things of God. Today I want to ask you a few questions. Please be very honest with yourself. What is your driving force for service to God? Is it convenience or conviction? Can God truly depend on you to serve Him whether it is convenient or not? Beloved, some people serve God only when it is convenient. In other words, they say to themselves; now that I have a spouse, child, or dream job, I can now serve God. On the other hand, once it is no longer convenient, I stop serving God. When everything is working well and on target, I will serve God. I will serve God when the going is good. I will serve God as long as the testimonies keep rolling in. I call such people fair-weather Christians. There is another group of fair weather Christians who serve God just to solve a challenge in their lives. When praying for a life-partner, a job, a child or a business breakthrough, they are ready to do anything, even keep vigils every single night in a week, but the moment they get the answer, off they go. Is it not an irony that the blessing they were praying for becomes the reason why they are no longer available to God? You hear things like: it is because of the demands of the job or the child cries ever so often so I cannot leave him/her in the house alone, so I stay back. Or worse still you hear those in business tell you how the business meetings they scheduled clashed with the assignment that they have in church and guess which one gives way, the church. Beloved, if you are in this category, I come today to encourage you to make a U-turn for the better. Like I always say, God does not want fair-weather Christians you are either for Him or against Him; You cannot sit on the fence. You either serve God totally and unreservedly or you forget it. Lean from David; he got an offer to sacrifice to God but he looked at the offer and said, I will not offer to God that which will cost me nothing. Belo ved, your service to God must go beyond convenience; or else it is not acceptable. The kingdom of God is not a game of convenience think of it; somebody paid the price with His own blood. It is not something you play with, with kids glove; it is serious business. God is calling every believer to a life of sacrifice. I challenge you today to go out of you way to serve God with all you heart, whether it is convenient or not. He deserves the best because He gave you His best, Jesus. The question you should ask yourself sincerely is; how much do I really love Him? Remember that the scriptures say in John 3:16 for God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son. Child of God, there is no way you can demonstrate love without giving something. When God was to show us how much he loved us, he gave His only Son to die for our sins. Thank God for this great love otherwise, where would you be today? In the same way, God wants you to spread His love to the world. If you truly love Jesus, then show it. Show it in your service to Him. Show it in evangelism. Show it as you lead your group. Show it in your relationship with your fellow G12 centre members. Many times we pay lip serve to loving God; we claim to love God but we do not show His love to those around us. You cannot say you love God, if you do not show His love to your world. Think of it, when last did you go through your wardrobe to look for very good clothes to bless someone with? When last did you enter a boutique to get a gift for someone who cannot afford it? When the festive seasons are approaching have you ever thought of how to ensure a family has a meal on their table? Are you just consumed with yourself me, mine and I? Your love for God is also evident in your worship. When we talk about worship, I am not talking about singing slowly. The quality of your worship in songs, in offerings, in tithes all goes to show how much you love God. You cannot claim to love God and keep your money away from Him. No, your love for God must be total. As I close, I encourage you to take a moment and think about the question today: how much do you love God? How much are you willing to sacrifice just to show you love Him? If there are areas that indict you, make amends today and love Him totally and completely. Let God depend on you in season and out of season. As you do that, He will certainly come through for you. I bless you. Maranatha!
Jericho was shut down because of the children of God. Why? It was because Jericho was strategic, if they cannot take Jericho, they cannot take the Promised Land. And so when they got there, the people of Jericho made it very difficult. They shut the gates. The walls of Jericho were very thick, you cant penetrate, and you cant break through it. And so when the children of Israel got there, they looked at it and said this one is a no go area, we cannot enter but the Lord said to Joshua, see, I have given you Jericho, I have given you the king and the mighty men of valour in the land. What is the Jericho in your life? What is a type of Jericho in your situation? What is the Jericho that is making it difficult for you to take your promise? Today God said you must see that Jericho has been given to you. Many believers walk so much in the realm of the senses so much that they dont know the way God functions. When you come to the kingdom of God throw away your senses and let God be God. Who told you that because you married as a virgin you would be the first to have a child, where did you get that from? The ways of God are so mysterious and yet correct, He doesnt make mistakes. It is baffling that some people are looking for babies but some prostitutes are throwing them away on a daily basis. Can you query God because of it? The problem with us is that we make comparisons but every one of us has his own race to run. The earlier you understand that, the easier you relax in the hands of God and run because your time is in His hands. Dont let your senses control you. You look at your family background and you see that there is no way you can become anythin g in life and so because of it you throw away the word of God? If God says you are, you are because God cannot lie. God is saying to you; see I have given to you Jericho. Today I declare that every Jericho in standing before you be destroyed and every seeming impossibility in your life be made possible in Jesus name.
