Brochure
Title: Star Citizen Advertisement Description: This is a duplex-printed brochure designed to have a gate-opening front. As the video game is space-based, I decided on an explorative theme. Programs: Layout in InDesign, custom Last Ones Out logo desgined in Illustrator. Date: March 27,2014. Course: Comm 130 Instructor: Brother Judkins Objectives: To learn the nuances of a duplex-print desgin, and to effectively communicate an exciting advertisement in brochure form. Process: Layout was laid down in InDesign, measuring equidistant lines to mark the folds. Illustrators vector graphics allowed the Logo tobe created. Text wrap was implemented around logos and images in the brochure.

Montage
Title: Trigun Poster. Description: A montage of characters,a logo,and a quote from the anime Trigun. Programs: Photoshop. Date: February 28, 2014. Course: Comm 130. Instructor: Brother Judkins. Objectives: I wanted to design a poster that someone who is a fan of this anime series could hang on their wall. Process: By using the Masking tool, I was able to combine the images with varying levels of opacity. I also used that same tool toenhance the color of the logo in the bottom corner.

Event Ad
Title: Ad Poster for Whovians United. Description: Using original photography, this was designed as a poster for a group of fans of the popular British sci-fi series Doctor Who. It is referencing a popular, well-known episode with both the quote and the statue. Programs: Photoshop. Date: February 5, 2014. Course: Comm 130 Instructor: Brother Judkins Objectives: This was to create a poster that would be recognizable for the targeted audience. Process: Using a high-quality camera, I took the picutre using the rule of thirds. Afterwards, I enhanced the picutre in photoshop to make the statue more prominent. Then, using photoshop, I created the bars above and below, as well as the semi-logo for the group, which also draws on the wellknown iconography of the series.

Business Card
Title: Atlas Editing Business Card. Description: A business card for a fictional writing company that exists in my imagination. Programs: InDesign, Illustrator. Date: February 26, 2014. Course: Comm 130 Instructor: Brother Judkins Objectives: To use aquired skills in InDesign and Illustrator to create a layout for something as small as a business card. Process: In Illlustrator, the logo came first. Using the capital A from the Copperplate Gothic Bold font, I separated the middle line and extended it to make the cener logo, then used the tools provided to make the hands that hold up the circle. I then imported it to InDesign, where I laid it out with plenty of white space and other elements of design. A soft gradient was added to the right side to give it interest.

Letterhead
Title: Atlas Editing Official Letterhead Description: Designed to accompany the business card in theme, they create a recognizable motif the company follows. Programs: InDesign, Illustrator Date: February 26, 2014 Course: Comm 130 Instructor: Brother Judkins Objectives: To create a recognizable theme for the company to follow, and have stationery that for official correspondance. Process: The page was laid out using the same fonts and colors as the business card, with a large, high-transparency version of the same logo.

Logos
Title: Experimental Logos. Description: A series of logos designed for an imaginary editing company of mine. Programs: Illustrator. Date: February 21. Course: Comm 130. Instructor: Brother Judkins. Objectives: To design a funcional logo for a Fantasy and Science Fiction book editing company. Process: Various apporaches with the vector-based graphics were tried, using simple colors, gradients, custom shapes, etc.

Imaging
Title: The Watching Sign Description: A photograph taken to experiment with the focus on a camera. Programs: Photoshop Date: February 5, 2014. Course: Comm 130. Instructor: Brother Judkins. Objectives: To learn aspects of photography, then editing in Photoshop. Process: Once the picture was taken, it was edited in Photoshop with four tools: sharpen, selective color, vibrance, and levels.

Flier
Title: Graduate Leadership Conference Flier Description: A flier designed in a situation simulating a client approaching with a specific image and body text. Programs: InDesign Date: January 24. 2014. Course: Comm 130. Instructor: Brother Judkins. Objectives: To create an original, yet effective flier using provided body copy and photos. Process: InDesign was used to create a consistent theme that would permeate the whole document, namely the thick and thin black bars.

Title: Atlas Editing Logo Website. Description: Website desgined in html to showcase the custom logo. Programs: Html, c++ Date: March 14, 2014. Course: Comm 130. Instructor: Brother Judkins. Objectives: To know enough about designing a webpage in html and c++ to create a functional website. Process: Elements of html and c++ were used to create a functional website. Color hex number was used to aquire the logo color to use in the background.
