Course comprises of: 2 hour lecture per week () intro to content each lesson, major grammar structure and cultural issues, intensive readings of text dialogue in textbook etc. 2 hour tutorial make sure you speak to practice , target text and workbook exercises

Assessment information: (doesnt move as fast as beginner chinese so can reflect on learning) Will start checking from week 3 Weekly exercises (week 2-12) weight 20% (10% online + 10% workbook) Group Project tests speaking ability normally 2 people per group, make a dialogue based on text submit handwritten script 3-4 mins each group + written script 20% weighted Due in week 4-11 (Will find out when each group goes in tutorial) Composition test will be around 300 chinese characters will give you 2-3 topics to prepare: 1 HR 20%: WEEK 12 Mid term Exam: 2 Hrs: Week 7 Only tested from lesson 1 5: 20% Final Exam Week 13 tested from lesson 6-9: 20%. Dont have to review from the beginning will not be tested on things already tested

Class Rules: Need to attend 80% - wont take roles for the first two weeks normally has class list and will call peoples name to answer question if not there then will mark absent. Preview vocab and tests before each lecture Uses simplified mandarin can use tradition if you are used to it
