3. Eligibility Criteria
IRBLleida-IPP Program is open to researchers from any nationality that fulfil the following criteria at the time of the call deadline:

Candidates must hold a PhD at the time of the deadline for submission of applications. Candidates who have performed the PhD thesis at the Biomedical Research Institute of Lleida / University of Lleida will not be eligible. The PhD cannot have been awarded more than 4 years before the deadline for submission of applications. Exceptions will be made for:
Career break due to childbirth: Women can claim one additional year per children up to a maximum of three years. Other documented career breaks: paternity leave, illness.
3.4. Mobility:
Candidates of all nationalities are eligible but must comply with the trans-national mobility rule, meaning that candidates must not have resided or carried out their main activity (work, studies, etc.) in Spain for more than 12 months in the 3 years immediately prior to the deadline for submission of applications. Short stays, such as holidays, will not be taken into account. There will not be the possibility to modify the application or to add missing documentation after the call deadline.
Candidate evaluation and selection tasks will be performed by external members. Project evaluation will be also performed by an external panel of experts. A maximum of four candidates will be selected for each available research area opening. The results of each step in the evaluation process will be notified by e-mail to the applicants.
