Reading World of Knowledge My pet This lesson focuses on reading. Teacher reads the story slowly to the students. 2.2 demonstrate understanding of a variety of linear and non-linear texts in the form of print and non-print materials using a range of strategies to construct meaning. 2.3 read independently for information and enjoyment.

Activity 1. Teacher introduces the topic briefly. Teacher asks pupils if they have pets. Teacher read text about frog and highlight action words in the text

2. Teacher shows pictures of pet. Pupils say after the teacher

3. Pupils are divided into groups and they are given picture cards and word cards of life cycle of the frog. They are asked to arrange the sequence of the life cycle in their groups

4. Teacher demonstrates a dialogue. Pupils follow after teacher. In group, students present the dialogue. 5. Teacher asks pupils to complete the task from the text book. Pupils are asked to fill in the blanks with the correct word 6. Teacher asked pupils to identify verbs In the text Assessment: 1. Pupils are asked to choose a pet and write a short simple essay about it. 2. Pupils are able to use simple verbs in their writing Remedial: 1. Teacher shows picture cards of pets again. 2. Pupils say and spell the words of the pets. 3. Teacher helps with the pupils pronunciation Enrichment: Get the pupils to tell story about their own experiences with any animals or pets.
