Works for m e. v m warebase.dll was being held open by v m ware-tray .exe so had to kill it. only patched v m warebase.dll and x6 4 \v m ware-v m x.exe OSX show up in guestoses in UI. had to add "sm c.present = true" to VMX file. nuked fakesm c.kext and all works. Thanks.

In the next v ersion I will ensure I kill the tray . For som e reason doesn't cause a problem on m y PC. Thanks for the info.

don't know what I am doing wrong, but patch is not working for m e...got a fresh copy of workstation 8 installed with the build prev alent to this patch. I right clicked install.cm d and ran as adm inistrator and couldn't really see what all it was say ing but when I opened workstation 8 after restarting..OS X doesn't show up as guest:( I uninstalled it as well and m ade sure none of workstation's process were running. I'm on Windows 7 6 4 bit Hom e Prem ium if that helps out. Am I m issing som ething? Otherwise excited to try to get Lion running v irtually . The patch for Workstation 7 worked excellent on m y laptop btw.

Ok, m y bad...I got it working now. But just wanted to let people know I had to open the com m and prom pt up as adm inistrator and then direct it to the patch. Right clicking Install.cm d and running as adm inistrator doesn't work...weird because on y our workstation 7 patch i right clicked the install.cm d.
