Canadian Solar's Andes Solar Home System (SHS) is an off-grid solar system, designed to
provide an economical source of electricity to homes and communities without access to grid
electricity or where electricity supply is scarce. The Andes SHS is portable, light-weight, and
easy to set-up, making it ideal for situations where emergency power is required.
Running on solar energy, the Andes SHS does not require costly diesel fuel, compared to
running a diesel generator. n addition, the Andes SHS - does not produce pollutants, runs
quietly and requires little maintenance. t is an ideal and reliable energy source for a wide
variety of applications, ranging from lightings, fans, radios, televisions, computers, mobile
phones and satellite phones, and as a source of back-up power for use in emergency situations.

Lead acid battery stores the energy generated by the solar PV module
System controIIer protects the battery from over-charging and over-discharging
LED dispIay displays the status of battery charge and discharge, various kinds of system
warnings (including low voltage, over discharge, output short circuit and over load warnings)
USB sockets to charge cell phones and other electronic applications.
Integrated Radio&MP3 to receive radio channels on the FM/AM dual frequency band and
