HOUSE P.A. SYSTEM


Front of house speaker system should be of the highest quality possible. It should be a stereo, high fidelity, three- or four- way system plus subs capable of reproducing 30Hz - 20 kHz and sustaining 110db without distortion at the front of house mix position, and should adequately and consistently cover the audience area in a stacked and/or flying configuration. PREFERENCES: V-DOSC, Dv-dosc

F.O.H.
MIXING CONSOLE(S) WHICH, AT MINIMUM, HAS ALL OF THE FOLLOWING FEATURES: 48x input channels, 8x effect returns, CD, house announce, etc. 4-Band, fully parametric or sweepable frequency EQ, 48v phantom power, phase reversal, insert point, direct out, high pass filter, and VCA mute on each input channel min 8x Post-fader auxiliary sends, each with a master ON/OFF switch and perchannel switching 8x VCA masters min 8x Mute groups Good illumination, no burned-out bulbs, missing goose-necks, etc. Back-up Power Supply Unit(s) PREFERENCES: INNOVASON, Heritage 2000, Yamaha PM4000

DRIVE RACK: System EQs must be parametric or 1/3 octave graphics. Digital EQs are fine, but ONLY if there is a graphic interface PREFS: XTA CQ 600, Klark-Teknik DN3600, BSS 960 Please ensure that all system crossovers, compressor/li miters, and EQs are located at F.O.H., are fully accessible to the tour's engineer, and are system specific, if required. PLEASE REFER TO THE SAKIS ROUVAS STAGE PLOT / INPUT LIST FOR MICROPHONE REQUIREMENTS. Please be sure to include all necessary stands, cables, clips, and hardware ( drum mounts, etc.).

NOTES
All system components are expected to be 100% operational. Any and all substitutions to and variations from these requirements must be approved by tour's engineers and/or production manager prior to day of show. If no item PREFERENCES are listed, options must be discussed with and approved by tour's engineers and/or production manager prior to day of show. NO EXCEPTIONS. The system must be accompanied by at least (1) competent and knowledgeable technician, who may be required to engineer for support acts. The tour does NOT share consoles, either FOH or monitor. Separate consoles, processing, etc. will be necessary for support acts. The tour shall provide intro & outro music for entire evening. For aesthetics, promoter/sound company needs to supply black cloth or scrim to cover amp racks, backs of consoles, etc. MIX POSITION LOCATIONS: F.O.H.: Please consider the mix location carefully and arrange seat-kills (please refer to the tour rider) as necessary. Extreme mix positions, to either the side or rear of a venue, are unacceptable, as is mixing from under a balcony. If the proposed location is clearly not ideal from a sound mixers point of view, this must be discussed IN ADVANCE between the sound company, the promoter, and tours production manager. Monitor Console: STAGE-LEFT Please make sure that all racks are well illuminated, and located to allow convenient access to controls and easy visual monitoring of displays. Do not locate ANY racks under the consoles. COMMUNICATIONS: Two-way exclusive communication between the F.O.H. and Monitor mix positions. A talkback mic at F.O.H. which shows up as an input on the monitor console. POWER REQUIREMENTS: The Sound Power Service must be on transformer isolated phases, separate from the lighting power service.
