Section A

General Guidelines
A response deemed to have satisfied the examination requirements must satisfy the
following criteria:

• Spelling and grammatical accuracy are mandatory

• Only one response is allowed for each question / blank


o Each question / blank with multiple responses correct will be awarded
only one mark
o Each question / blank with multiple responses partially correct will not be
awarded any mark

• “Chunking” or the lifting of entire sentence(s) is/are not permitted

• Upper and lower cases must be strictly adhered to

• Meaningful paraphrasing and correct use of own words are permitted
