DECAM 200L Pressure Vessel PRESSURE VESSEL TESTING PROCEDURE 6/16/08, H.

Ce se Pressure testing the 200L Vessel for use in the Lab A Test are to follow the following procedures and guidelines. The pressure test will be a pneumatic test. O!er!"e# $% &'e &es&"() *r$+e,ureTes& Se&u*The pressure test is performed using nitrogen gas obtained from nitrogen gas bottles. Approximately 1 bottle is re uired to fill the test !essel and achie!e the full test pressure. The supply manifold has all necessary operating !al!es and safety relief !al!es per "0#$ %xhibit A. The manifold has a safety relief !al!e with a crac&ing pressure e ual to 110' the (A)P of the !essel which is 1"0 psig * 1.10 + 1," psig. The relief !al!e crac&ing pressure is chec&ed prior to the pressure !essel test. -elief !al!e is Anderson .reenwood /#(0,,1# with a capacity of #/scfm air. -elief !al!e crac&ing pressure 221,"22 psig S %e&. Pre+ u&"$(sThe test will be performed in the gated area outdoors behind (A3. The gated area will be remo!ed of all personnel. The supply manifold is located inside (A3 with the roll up door acting as a barrier between the personnel and the !essel. The Vessel has already been pressure tested by the manufacturing !endor4 P5P6 and has a documented pneumatic test pressure of 1/2 psig. The portion of the !essel being tested is the top flange. The top flange is naturally at a higher ele!ation than the testing personnel and is pointed !ertically up away from all other ob7ects. Prior to testing4 the ualified person and the section safety officer will inspect the !essel and chec& the test setup for safety precautions per A0(% 0ec.
