Introduction
Welcome to the 2014 British Expertise International Awards. We are determined to further increase the impact of this reshaped and relaunched recognition programme, creating a compelling showcase for the international achievements of the UK professional services sector.
Last years awards demonstrated just how much our industry has to celebrate. The companies that attended the 2013 Awards are involved in many of the worlds most important development and infrastructure projects, delivering world-beating quality and innovation. The independent judging panel reviewed an unprecedented number of entries. Each and every category was ercely contested and the overall standard of submissions was assessed by the judges to be of an outstanding quality. The shortlist read like a roll call of the most innovative and leading UK professional services companies working internationally. The Awards attracted support from the Governments Minister of Trade, Lord Green Lord Marland, the Prime Ministers Trade Envoy attended the event. They were backed by UK Trade & Investment and supported by leading industry gures and client representatives, who gave their time to judge the awards. The Awards were supported by the leading players in the professional services sector, who took great care in entering the competition and enjoyed attending the Celebration Dinner. But this powerful showcase would not have been possible without the backing from our sponsors - some of the brightest and best brands in our industry. Im delighted that UKTI and New Civil Engineer (NCE) have both conrmed that they will be supporting the 2014 Awards; UKTI as a sponsor and NCE as our Media Partner. The British Expertise International Awards

The British Expertise International Awards were relaunched in 2013 to encourage and recognise outstanding contributions from the UKs professional services industry. This programme celebrates the ambitions of both large corporations and SMEs, and provides a platform to showcase exceptional international projects, contracts and individual contributions.
The Awards culminated in a high prole Celebration Dinner, which sold out in 2013. A record number of entries were received, which were of the highest standard. The Awards were rebranded and promoted through a dedicated website and e-marketing activities as well as using conventional channels. The result was a stronger prole than ever in the infrastructure and professional services arena. We will be welcoming entries to the 2014 awards during the summer. These will be assessed by an authoritative, independent judging panel in November before the winners are announced at the Awards Celebration Dinner in April 2014. Alongside press coverage, a farreaching and targeted marketing campaign will reach thousands of UK companies from the professional services industry operating internationally. The Awards celebration event will present a valuable opportunity to network with some of the most inuential representatives from within this sector.

Description
This prestigious award is made to the UK professional services organisation that is judged to have achieved the most impressive overall business performance internationally during 2013. Judging will be based on clarity of international strategy, achievement of revenue and the provision of a strong case study. Small and medium sized businesses can also achieve remarkable success in the international arena. This award will have the same criteria as above, but is open to organisations with fewer than 250 employees. Strong partnerships are vital in delivering major programmes. This category will reward an exemplary approach to collaboration between UK companies and/or with international partners. British companies have an outstanding reputation in engineering design. This award will recognise the most innovative and inuential overseas design project by a UK based organisation. British architects have an international reputation for excellence. This award will celebrate the most outstanding architecture project undertaken by a British architect internationally. International development work is another strong area for British companies. This award will go to the most effective physical development project undertaken by a UK based company. International development work is another strong area for British companies. This award will go to the most effective non-physical development project undertaken by a UK based company. Development assistance work in fragile states is especially difficult. This award will celebrate the most important environmental project of the year. This award will reward the young consultant (under 35) that has demonstrated serious achievement on the international stage and shows great future potential. Every successful project has remarkable individuals driving it. This award will be presented to one individual who has made an outstanding contribution to the industry.

The British Expertise International Awards present a valuable opportunity to position your organisation at the forefront of the UK professional services sector. Specic benets in sponsoring an award include:
Prole As a sponsor you will be identied as a champion for this sector. You will achieve strong name recognition in an awards programme that is embraced by leading decision makers in this sector. Target Market Each of the Award categories offers a sponsorship opportunity, allowing you to select the best t package for your target market. Each sponsor will be closely identied with the award category, with your logo appearing on the website, and on all pre event and at event materials. Marketing As a sponsor you will have a prominent position on all marketing material, which includes a minimum of ve e-bulletins* distributed to over 10,000 targeted industry contacts; ve bespoke press releases; and a dedicated Awards website where a link to your organisations website will be featured on the homepage. Your company name will also be featured on certicates. Networking As a sponsor you will be offered a minimum of two complimentary tickets to the Awards Celebration Dinner to be held in central London in April 2014. As well as networking with senior industry representatives throughout the evening, you will be invited to join the Award winner on stage for a presentation photograph. Award sponsors are not able to enter the category which they sponsor. However, organisations are able to enter all categories they do not directly sponsor.
*Inclusion in all marketing material can only be guaranteed if sponsorship contract is signed before the distribution of e-bulletins and press releases.
