The world of technology is changing daily. By the time you have bought something new

it has become outdated. What is it that is making the difference in technology? The looks, the style, the user friendliness? It is possible that none of that is even changing. The biggest thing that is changing are the capabilities of technology. The software in computers have been evolving every second. People create and synthesize new programs to help user interface. Through the use of programming you are able to utilize technology. Without programming you are unable to use anything that requires electricity. What I want to do is research the history of programming. I want to learn the history of the programming language C and how it has changed to C++. C++ is a common programming language that is current in todays time. II. Programming is what has changed the world in the field of technology. I cannot imagine

the world without it. This is why I have I made a decision to become a computer scientist. I want to be able to do what I love for a living. Coding has been in my blood since I was very young. My parents and grandparents introduced me to programming at the age of 12. My grandfather thought it important that I should begin a future in something I loved to do. I would just sit at the computer for hours think of new codes to type in. Initially I was exposed to the coding language C. It became a huge part of my life until I hit high school. In high school I was swamped with work both in and out of school. It was impossible trying to get any free time to myself. The language was practically lost with age. That is until I started my career with UNCC. I gave way into the world of computer science. III. I have begun researching second hand from a research article Programming Languages. A. This article explains the user friendliness of the various programming languages.

It gives a brief summary on how to create your very own code in Java (Russell, 2000).

The second article I found was Deep C Fishing. In this article it explained the

early life of the programming language C and how it was used at its early age of infancy. It was almost immediately outdated with the progress of C++. C++ is a more advanced programming language and some people like to say its an extension of the original C (Richard, 1996). C. The article that ties everything I am learning together is Advances in dataflow

programming languages. In this article it explains how the languages have progressed through time. How the computer can memorize certain keywords that are a program in itself (Jhonston, 2004). IV. When talking about coding to a group of peers its like speaking in cCongress. Everyone

pretends to listen but all they want to do is sleep. My idea for my multimodal project is to make a simple how to program about the ease and use of programming. Through this program a randomly chosen user will get the opportunity to use a user friendly program to help them navigate programming languages. The program will be simple and idea based (This program will not be an application but a learning tool). A few other ideas are creating a programming website or screen capturing codes being written and explained. V. I plan on learning daily about the new mechanics of the programming languages. I want

to learn in less than two weeks the difference between the programming language C and C++. The reasons why these two languages were created and the ease of use for each. I plan in less than four weeks to create my multimodal project.

Computers have been in my life since I was born. I want to be able to learn all I can about

them before I start my career outside of college. I want to be a computer scientist in the future and I will learn all that is necessary to meet my goal. Programming languages are the footsteps of computer science.
