Emmanuel Vass
Named as one to watch by
The Independent newspaper
in April 2013, Emmanuel Vass
has broadcast multiple times on
the BBC (Radio 3, 6music and
Look North news), held the title
of Yamahas Unsigned Artist of
the Month and performed for
the French, Russian and Filipino
Ambassadors as well as for the
Prince of Monaco. As a pianist
he has played solo in prestigious
venues up and down the country;
Kensington Palace Gardens, BBC
Broadcasting House, Steinway
Hall, Castle Howard and the
Bridgewater Hall.
Moreover as a chamber musician
he has worked extensively with
string and wind players from the
top UK orchestras within duos,
trios and quartets, which has led
to an intimate understanding of
the demands across all instruments
and their repertoire. Vasss
performances are available to
watch on his popular Youtube
channel, and for reviews and
future concert diary visit:

Rosa Conrad
Having majored in composition
for her degree and studied
Postgraduate piano performance
at Trinity College of Music, Rosa
Conrad has been a music teacher
in West London since 2000.
She teaches piano, accordion,
guitar and ukulele. As well as the
more traditional aspects of music
teaching, Rosa enjoys writing
music for her lessons, teaching
harmony and improvisation, and
encouraging collaborations
between her students.
In teaching piano, so often a
solitary instrument, Rosa has always
found that playing duets is an
extremely valuable and vital part
of enjoying the learning process.
To be able easily to make real
music which sounds great is a
wonderful experience for the
beginner. Rosa and her students
devoured what truly easy material
there was available, and for
the last few years she has been
writing more. The result is her book,
Rosamund Conrads Delightfully
Easy Piano Duets. Book one was
published in 2013 and has been
well received by teachers and
amateur pianists alike. Book two is
coming out soon.

Elena Cobb
Elena Cobb is a classically trained
and highly experienced pianist,
teacher and composer and she
believes that the child who is stuck
in front of the music is an unhappy
child. She composed jazzy, child-
orientated tunes for her piano
pupils to increase their pleasure
and inspire them to practise at
home and they loved them! Elena
believes that general process
of thinking can be improved by
adding jazz and blues to the
traditional repertoire.
Elenas books from the Higgledy
Piggledy Jazz series for the piano
with CD, alto sax with CD, classical
guitar ensemble and Blue River
for aspiring pianists are popular
with teachers and pupils in the UK,
Canada, USA, Australia, Europe
and Hong Kong.
Elenas piece Super Duck appears
in the Set Pieces class for piano
and we are delighted that Elena
will adjudicate this class.
