Young Peoples Department consists of churches throughout state of Mississippi, from the Delta down to the Gulf Coast. The youth receive Christian Education and Training. They are also provided training and nurturing in the arts (choir, liturgical dance, mime and step/drill).

Christian /(ucation Rev. Jeffrey Stafford is the Director of Christian Education in the GMBSC Young Peoples Department. There are division directors in each age group: Elementary Division (K-5), Leshaunda Randle, Middle School Division, Rev. Ralph James High School Division, Rev. Stanley Smith College Division, Rev. Edgar Lewis. Music,Drama,Step The Young People of the GMBSC are engaged in many activities such as the 500 plus member choir, the dance ministry, mime ministry and step team ministry. These units not only allow the youth to express themselves, but they also allow them to minister the word of God effectively, by using their gifts and talents in a way that they can tell the Gospel in a manner that they know how. They are trained in each area using Biblical principles. Each year the young people show the General Missionary Baptist State Convention that they can praise and worship God in their own way. Leaders of these Ministries are Stephen Johnson (Choir), LeShaunda Randle (Dance), Dion Williams (Mime) and Aaron Thompson (Step/Drill).
