(a) State and prove total probability theorem. (b) Give the classical and axiomatic denitions of probability. (c) List the axioms of the probability. 2. (a) Dene Telemetry and Telecontrol. [8+8] 6. (a) Consider a speech signal with maximum frequency of 3.4KHz and maximum amplitude of 1 volt. This speech signal is applied to a delta modulator whose bit rate is set at 20 kilobits/sec. Discuss the choice of an appropriate step size for the modulator. (b) Write about the Slope Overload Error present in DM. 7. (a) Explain QAM error performance? 2. Write a short notes an electrical, Pneumatic, Hydraulic and Optical Telemetry Systems. [16] 3. (a) A voltage V=200cos(1+0.4sinm (t)) is applied to a resistor of 100 . Find the power dissipated by each of the frequency components present in the voltage V. (b) Verify that the message signal m(t) is recovered form a modulated DSB signal by rst multiplying it by a local sinusoidal carrier wave and then passing the resultant signal through LPF as shown in gure 1 below in time domain.[8+8]
