Using a design concept of providing storage for the difference between 6 times DWF and 3 times DWF for a period if 2 hours, we can say
Volume of Storm Tank = (DWF 1 - DWF 2) x Retention Time 3 3 46.41 hours

DWF 1 =

The existing sump measures 4.5 x 4.5 x 1.5 on site, giving a volume of approximately 32.5 m3, therefore the retention time in this sump exceeds a 2 hour retention period, at 3DWF, prior to the emergency overflow to the reed beds.
