OEC has announced new Jobs as described; ADVERTISEMENT NO.38/2012 Teachers / Researchers Required for Sokoto State University, Nigeria. Sokoto State University is a new conventional degree awarding Institution which depicts the concept of education as a determinant of progress and societal advancement. It visions to become world-class institution that produces globally competitive graduates who can advance economic development and are prepared to meet challenges of the millennium. It is in this regard, the University requires qualified expatriates to fill positions of Professor, Reader, Senior Lecturer and Lecturer I in the following Departments that will commence academic programmes in September 2013 (2013/2014 session) 1. 3. 5. 7. 9. 11. Geography 13. Political Science 15. Sociology 17. Science Education Required Qualification and Experience: I. Professor

The Applicant must hold a Ph.D, degree in relevant fields. S/he must have sufficient and relevant publications in peer reviewed, reputable journals and conference proceedings with at least fourteen (14) years cognate experience. In addition, the applicant must be registered with relevant professional bodies, with evidence of academic leadership. II. Reader

Applicants must hold Ph.D, degree in relevant fields. S/he must have sufficient and relevant publications in peer reviewed, reputable journals and conference proceedings with at least eleven (11) years cognate experience. In addition, the applicant must be registered with relevant professional bodies, with evidence of academic leadership. A Senior Lecturer with three (3) years of teaching experience could be considered but must have demonstrated capacity through sound academic publications and leadership. III. Senior Lecturer

Applicants must hold Ph.D Degree in relevant fields. S/he must have sufficient and relevant publications in peer reviewed, reputable journals and conference proceedings with at least eleven (11) years cognate experience. In addition, the applicant must be registered with relevant professional bodies, with evidence of academic leadership. IV. Lecturer I

Applicants must hold Masters Degree (Second Class minimum) in relevant fields. S/he must have sufficient and relevant publications in peer reviewed, reputable journals and conference proceedings with at least five (5) years cognate experience. In addition, the applicant must be registered with relevant professional bodies, with evidence of academic leadership. Note: All applicants must be proficient in computer and a teaching qualification will be an added advantage.

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT Salaries and other terms of employment will be decided at the time of interview by the foreign employer.
