(So, Mi, So) (So, La, So, Mi) (So, Mi, Mi, Re, Do) (So, La, So, Mi, Mi, Re, Do) Teaching Sequence: Rhythm/Melody of the Day Review Star Spangled Salute Repertoire - Circle around to gather books (pg. 7, pg. 306) - This Land -> Yankee -> Grand Ol -> America the Beautiful - Encourage tracking, strong singing, and no silly singing. - Star Spangled Banner: Review Background/History (see Star Spangled lesson plan) - Review (sing) song with text on board - Text worksheet with missing words. Students keep this to use as personal lyric sheets - Sing again using lyric sheets to solidify information - Circle around to put books back - Recorder: Review Left hand on top and proper B fingering.
